Keir Starmer at it again..

A big push now to make Mandelson the scapegoat - pretend it's all down to individual rogue behaviour rather than the fact he's one piece in a very large jigsaw. The real issues here are Starmer's judgement and the influence of Mandy fan boy Morgan McSweeney. And just how many people have their snouts in the trough?

Ah no, first thing Blair did was scrap that. Wonder why that was?
I dunno probably to do with it never EVER going to be used in the case of treason and that the bill corrected a 1963 oversight in leaving capital barratry on the statute book by accident.

Or it was Tony protecting his mate. Yeah, that was it.

All capital offences were scrapped by 1998.

FIFY.
Never say never. 🙂

I do largely agree, but I can't think of any good reason to keep the likes of Axel Rudakubana alive tbh. I'd have the threshold for it pretty high, and obviously there's the problem of 100% certainty of guilt. but where it's clear cut and they've killed or raped kids I could quite happily swing the axe myself with zero moral complication

Where do you sit with Lucy Letby? Fits your criteria, but there's momentum behind the view that's she's innocent, but late if you've already killed her.
