Vote for whichever candidate can remove the tory waster in your constituency... job done
Don't think my vote will make much difference. And Starmer's a cunt.Surely getting rid of the Tories is enough of a reason?
Only for the good cases thoughStarmer had just said he was in charge of the CPS, he really should've mentioned that before
His dad was a toolmaker apparently.Starmer had just said he was in charge of the CPS, he really should've mentioned that before
Yep, he definitely made a tool...His dad was a toolmaker apparently.
Really? His dad was a toolmaker apparently.
Nothing wrong with that. His dad was a toolmaker apparently.
Not saying there is.Nothing wrong with that.
No issue with it at all, more that it's mentioned at every opportunity. That was the context.Just came over as a bit sniffy, the sort of remark I’d expect from a Telegraph reading Tory would say and not a fully paid up subscriber to the Socialist Worker.
Big test would be how much of a food bill would he pay after ordering half the menu and leaving before the bill came out..People used to say about Johnson "he's a politician you could have a drink with". I can't think of anything worse, the stinking cunt would be awful company and leave me with the entire bill to pay
Relatability is always in the eye of the beholder, though. Could say a lot of the same stuff about Corbyn - mum a teacher, dad an engineer, also loves Arsenal, spends his free time reading or making jam, by all accounts actually interested in other people and easy to have a conversation with - but somehow Boris Johnson won that popularity contest.Given the background of Cameron/Johnson/Sunak I think it's quite good to have a leader from humble(ish) origins. I don't think he bigs it up that much himself, does he?
This is the thing, people say he's unrelatable yet he plays 5 a side with his mates, has a season ticket for his club (granted it's Arsenal, but he can't help where he was born), likes a pint in a non-fake way, earned his non-political career on merit and through sheer hard work...I can understand disagreeing with his policies and some of the way he leads the party but I think his background is a plus rather than a minus.
