All that has been said is that labour welcomes the announcements but they should go through OBR scrutiny for sign off in a similar way to a large spending increase in a budget. I'd like to think Wakefield would see him off but nothing seems to shift the cunt. I think one of the big issues is that there are no big hitters in the cabinet to challenge him. They're all either sycophants or morons and know that career wise Boris is as a good it's going to get for them. Any PM with even half a brain would bin 90% of them off instantly and they know this. Also there are rumours that if horrid MPs keep being mean to him he'll call a GE.

IMO I think the 54 letters will eventually arrive and that he'll comfortably win a VONC. He's then untouchable and he'll limp on to fight the next GE which will be a disaster for the Tories. He won't give a shit about any of that though as long as he can eek his time in office out as far as possible.

Listened to Wes Streeting on the Full Disclosure podcast last night - very impressive. I think as leader he'd connect with the electorate better than Starmer does as the way he speaks and relates his life experiences to real people is much more engaging. I know he's from a wing of the Party that some won't find acceptable and his sexuality will be an issue for some bigots, but if Starmer does get hit with a Durham fine I'd be delighted if he took over.
