Keir Starmer at it again..

Think it was also the telegraph that yesterday was proposing we allow workers to live in their offices.
So they can live where they work, but working from home is a problem?
Hey, if South Korean IT personnel feel they have to sleep at night under their desks then I suppose we have to compete in a rush to the very bottom. :cautious:
Actually, It can be far worse than that in said country as per a serious conversation I had a few years back with a South Korean employee in China. You won't believe it but it's true that he told me he was asked to show commitment at interview for a future job by sucking the interviewer's big toe in the private interview room....

We’ve all done that, just don’t talk about it. Bloody attention seeking South Koreans.

Yes, fortunately I had a witness with me. I had to keep a straight face but the other bloke was nearly doubled up!
The funniest though was he was interested in working for a new Dutch boss so he asked me if Dutch bosses might ask for a big toe suck.
I kindly assured him that the Dutch can be liberal but as far as I knew I didn't believe they were into that kind of activity..... at interviews.
;-)

Not quite sure of the point being made here but imagine a world where we can spend on defence AND feed our children. Crazy I know but there it is.
Absolutely the case. If those whom we must obey actually waved the flag and dutifully paid 10% of their due taxes then it would go some way to help. Ain't going to happen though.

Well my point was that people from all sides are talking about raising defence spending with almost no consideration for where the money will come from. Compare and contrast with a conversation about child poverty, housing or homelessness.
