Just how good were/was/is/are....

I disagree with you on Stevie Nicks Cyber. She was a brilliant vocalist.

Florence...?

Well my opinion of her is similar to one of my favourite ever Viz Top Tips - "Create your own Florence & The Machine album by simply releasing an owl into a wind chime shop".

If you lot wreck discussion on The Cranberries by bickering over Florence and the fucking Machine, I'm going to get very upset with you.

If we're talking female vocalists then probably my personal favourite is Harriet Wheeler of The Sundays. Angelically beautiful voice on her. I might do The Sundays in this thread some time actually. Or The Cardigans. Nina Persson has another staggeringly gorgeous voice.

:icon_lol:

I was at Glastonbury one year walking past the Other Stage (the 2nd biggest stage) when she absolutely butchered The Chain (ironic!) - it was absolutely horrendous. I didn't actually know who it was until I checked the schedule. Dreadful, dreadful band. Still - opinions and all that.

Edit - sorry, Herr Daniel. Back to The Cranberries.

Oh good god I forgot about her version of The Chain. Abomination.

Always really liked this song

Cranberries also made some outstanding videos in the 90s

Tracyanne Campbell of Camera Obscura.

I will 100% be including them in here.

Can't say I like The Cranberries tbh. Find the music a tad depressing. Mind you I've only heard a few songs (singles) and only just found out that Zombie song was by them, always thought it was Sinead O'Connor, plus I thought she (they) were singing 'Tommy' as in Tommy Atkins and not Zombie.
I'll get me coat..

Will that be a housecoat?

Wrong thread, brother. But I do welcome what you have to say about The Cranberries in due course.

I don't know enough about the Cranberries to comment to be honest even though I owned two of their albums. Dreams is still one of my favourite songs though, probably would be on the soundtrack to my later teenage years.

langers absolutely sums up the cranberries for me too, aside from zombie not ever doing it for me, tbh.
