January Transfer Window, 25/26 Season

By virtue of being utterly terrible for the first 4 months of the season we are going to end up being in the strongest position any relegated club has ever been in going into the championship.

Obviously doesn’t mean we will actually use that advantage to achieve anything…

Best how?

I'd rather not be punting on statement signings six months after signing them... likewise in the windows before when the signings are no longer at the club.

It's pathetic and indicative of a recruitment policy that is deeply flawed at best.

Plus, I doubt in the majority of those outgoings that we'll be showing that much of a profit given the cut that agent(s) will be taking.
As DWs point, its just trying to get rid of the absolute shite (for a profit) and getting some actual realistic next season ready signings in.

It's a strange benchmark though to measure successful windows on..patting ourselves on the back for punting on players that either a) have a stinking attitudes, b) ill equipped in the first instance for the league, or c) just plain garbage.

I just find the whole thing just embarrassing more than anything else.

I'm just glad to be shot of them.

Oh absolutely. But at least we’ve got reasonable fees on the players with stinking attitudes who are ill equipped garbage. Imagine if we’d flogged them for nothing on top of all that.

Happy to give credit when due. Particularly as it’s been in such short supply for some time now!

Ambition! Pfffft! Abandoning the biggest league in the world for one where you go when your careers on the downturn.

Our income drops enormously in a few months so they'd be plenty fucking stupid if they did.

We're also very likely to lose thousands off the gate, and they can't keep ticket prices where they are, so another hit to the finances.
Any idea what the top 6 clubs charge for tickets in the Championship, compared to what our prices are currently?

I don't understand 4 exit (Fer, Larsen, Arias, Abda), and only join 2 players... the market is closed in the premier?

Let's pick Leicester as an example as Half Pint alleged we benchmarked against them (bollocks, obviously) and they went down last year, and they've got a similar capacity to us.

About £450 behind the goal to renew.

We're £750 right now.

It's a massive issue, I said so 2-3 years ago, do they listen, no.

We could get decent money for 3 of them now, which we’d be unlikely to get in the summer. Whether they’re here or not will make little difference to our finishing position.

Let me explain

Fer - Weak as piss and not playing. Not needed
Larsen - Mentally left us in August, physically left in January. Not needed and Armstrong into replace him with an eye on next season.
Arias - Huge disappointment and looks like he just wanted to go home. I guess technically replaced by Angel
Agba - Like Larsen, he checked out months ago. Not needed and can fuckadoodle off.

Yes 4 have gone to be replaced by 2, but in terms of wanting to be here and actually contributing we are 2 players up.

I understand some exit. But dont understand only 2 join.

I try say: better start a pre-season now, to integrate more the player to the next seasson.

In this next summer market are hard to sign players because the world cup, and next only have 1 month to try integrate that players.

The pool of players who will sign for us and who we'd actually want when we're 99.99999999% relegated before they pick up a pen is not very large.

We're all puzzled why Angel Gomes has joined us.
