Phillips had a purple patch under Bielsa but hasn't kicked on at Man City which is fair enough, he was never elite but more worryingly he was a laughing stock at West Ham and slightly better for Ipswich.

The obvious comparison is the Barkley loan to Luton where he immediately improved them. Phillips conversely melted into the shit around him. No ta.
