January Transfer Window, 25/26 Season

Happy for him just to go with no questions asked, even if it's just getting some of his wages off the bill for a while. I never want to watch him play again.

Edit: A parallel is Leicester getting rid of Wout Faes today. Only on loan but who the fuck wants him anywhere near a matchday squad, just go, please.

Agree, but it’s just kicking the can down the road to the summer unless there’s an obligation. Go away Marshall, permanently please (although I’m sure he’s a lovely chap).

His goals record is actually OK for a midfielder in France. But when you watch him play and realise he doesn’t play midfield, he stands up front and completes 9 passes in 90 minutes and can’t control the ball then it’s utterly dreadful.

Impressive that he was one of the worst footballers I’ve seen relative to fee paid and then we still manage to trump him with Tchatchoua.

We need to loan him and no idiot will buy. So we just need to get him out and save the likely obscene wages for a man of so little ability. Edwards already sussed early doors that he is horrific. To think he was playing every game and Mane zero minutes is a travesty

5 and 6 points more at this end of the table at this stage of the season is quite a big jump. Clearly low 30s is unlikely to be enough unless you think both Leeds and Forest will struggle to get another 10-15 points?
I think 30-35 will be enough to stay up yes, the maths doesn't change just because we are one of the teams.

See this is just so confusing on so many levels. Why the fuck would anyone genuinely WANT him? What have their scouts seen in him?! But on the flip side, why are we letting players who have featured regularly this season go out on loan? I hope there is an obligation to buy or what’s the point?

Honestly think he’s in my top three worst players I have ever watched for Wolves.

No idea or brain capacity to work out the other two, but he’s safely on the podium.

Munetsi is garbage.

He's fortunate that there are several that are on a par or even worse than him in the squad.

And to think what you now have to pay to watch this shit!!!

I actually think Munesti would be reasonable in the Championship. As an agent of chaos, he'd get loads of chances so I think he'd score a fair few goals although you'd essentially have to play him to the detriment of someone more talented, but we did that for years with Edwards

But you need to be better than Leeds or Forest. Not West Ham or Burnley.

They will both get well over 30 points. Do you think Leeds are going to fail to win 3 more games? I don't.

Good Christ do I hate the way we talk about players sometimes.
Everyone is just saying he's a diabolical footballer on a technical level, which he is, and he was ridiculously overpriced given his age and ability, which he was.

He tries but so what. I know you like him and there's no accounting for taste but he is rubbish.

Still not even our worst signing from that window let alone that calendar year.

Atlético sets sights on Joao Gomes
The Wolves midfielder, a Brazilian international and target of clubs like United and Napoli, is on the list of candidates to replace Gallagher

Atlético de Madrid. Gallagher says goodbye to Atlético and is now a Tottenham player

Joao Gomes is one of the names highlighted in red at Atlético as a potential reinforcement for the midfield following the official departure of Conor Gallagher to Tottenham. The Englishman leaves €40 million, and the Rojiblancos, as MARCA has reported, have set a primary objective: acquiring a central midfielder.

And that’s where Joao Gomes comes in, the Wolves midfielder. 24 years old. Brazilian international (he has worn the national jersey 10 times) and one of the best players in the English team, which is having a poor season and sits last in the Premier League (they have only collected 7 points in 21 matches, 18 of which Gomes started). In total, he has played 24 matches this season, surpassing the century mark in his career in the British Isles.

Before playing in the Premier League, he rose to prominence at Flamengo, one of Brazil’s biggest clubs and one of the teams that exports the most talent. In his case, he arrived in Europe in 2022 to embark on an adventure that is now in its fourth season… but could end this winter transfer window.

There, Atlético de Madrid’s intervention could change the league in which the player competes. Mateu Alemany, making his debut in this transfer window as the club’s top executive, will try to secure his signing to strengthen the area weakened after a winter window that has already seen four players leave.

Napoli… and Manchester United want him too
The Metropolitano club, however, will not have it easy. Other clubs are also interested in Joao Gomes, such as Napoli, who want to strengthen this month to finish the season as strongly as possible. Italian and Spanish clubs, as well as Manchester United, who also have him on their radar, will compete for the player’s services. He could arrive in the Spanish capital to replace Gallagher… and provide the Rojiblancos with more midfield talent.

You’ll note that I’ve (for the most part) stopped going out of my way to defend Marshall, Hwang, etc etc.

Regardless, the language that gets used at times is really poor, IMV. Not that I’m some saint or anything (Lord knows I’ve said regrettable things about Doc), but I don’t think that sort of thing will ever not make me uncomfortable. There’s an ad hominem aspect to some of the discourse that, to me, just feels so unnecessary and rude.

Disclaimer: I’m a flower made of snowflakes.
