Fosun’s actions seem to have changed in line with the CCP response to Western Governments’ hostility to companies like Huawei. It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if they are looking for a buyer now the reality has hit home of what it takes to challenge even the top 6 in the PL, let alone reach the top 4.

How could a multi billionaire company NOT be aware how much it takes to get top 6 or top 4 though? Every football fan knows this.

It just seems ridiculous.

Business history is awash with people who thought they could be successful by doing something different. Sometimes it works, more often it does not. Since home teams kept all gate receipts success has been more closely linked to finance than ever. Two teams have got into the elite who challenge for trophies on a regular basis, Chelsea and Man City, and we all know how. Leicester have done remarkably well but they’re only a managerial change from aspiring for 7th.

I have no idea what Fosun want from Wolves now. If we operate on a break even basis they make no significant profit and the longer they do so the greater the chance that their investment value plummets as at some point clubs who take this approach get relegated. If they want us as a flagship for eSports and other such ventures they need us to be seen as successful, by which I mean closer to the top than the bottom of the PL.
