January 2020 transfer window

Boly is going nowhere unless it is for more than United paid for Maguire. Not our fault that club inflated the market.

Daft question, but here we go,how do the bigger clubs miss players like boly, neves, jota is it just that their scouts don't rate them and we think he'll be worth a try or what? I know uncle Jorge has a bit to do with it but we haven't bought all our players off him

I'd be more worried about Nuno leaving tbh, particularly if the Spurs job becomes available.

Opinions from scouts and managers were the main way of players signed. These days it's much more data driven and what they do with the data is often the reason for players to be signed. If you can get players that fit your data profile you have more chance of signing them.

A lot of players are missed because people interpret data to fit their their own agenda. The other thing with data is that it doesn't consider squad players very well or those at youth level in comparison to senior level.

But it all boils down to opinion in the end.

Aside from the Mendes link Boly wasn't first choice under Nuno at Porto and was already in his mid 20s when we signed him.
Jota was an inexperienced reserve at Atletico. Realistically they wouldn't have been of interest to the established Top 6.

Neves everyone knew about, but thought the price was ott versus the experience.

I call Jotvla a squad player rather than reserve. He'd played quite a few CL games by then.

I would have thought that was a fairly obvious conclusion to come to. Helpful to know the club think the same way as the fans on the winter recruitment, assuming that Tim has got a nod from within Molineux.

It seems unlikely at this point hes going to go from milan starter to wolves rotation/backup

While still a big club in terms of their stature Milan aren't really very good now and haven't been for a while.

We obviously want to be more of a 3-4-3 team and I think that’s the right call. Donk is the only first team midfielder we have who can play alongside Moutinho in that system and he’s been very average this year. So shouldn’t take much to come and start.

Going back in for Kessie seemed a very possible idea. I would be very chuffed if it were to happen
