January 2020 transfer window

Thought Bennett was older than that tbh...that being the case he should def move at some point as he's got a good few years left in him.

Submitted a £20m bid for Edmond Tapsoba according to O Jogo. Sounds plausible, like the sound of him too.

I dunno about this - it's only surfaced the last day or so but whenever it's mentioned it's us alongside Leverkusen and Leicester and getting into a bidding war...it's just not how we work. We've seen it again this window, we get linked with all and sundry but there's very rarely anything in it, then Podence out of nowhere.

Will Podence be able to play for us in the EL? I don't have a clue but I've seen a suggestion the answer is 'no' as Olympiakos have dropped into the EL from the CL. I'm sure someone will know for certain...

AFAIK he hasn't played a game in the EL so he'll be ok.

Re Tapsoba, Spiers says we aren't interested in a CB so that means we've definitely bid!

His info could be old and we've now decided to let Benno go, so have room for a highly rated youngster to come in.

UEFA dropped the Cup Tied rule this season. So anyone who has played in the EL and moves to another club in that comp they can still play.

Podence played in the CL so he would be ok anyways.

THIS. Checked the rules quite a bit during our run.

Has the world gone mad? £85m for Richarlison? What was that about £50m for Adama yesterday...

I think Adama would be 80m this window and I'd be gutted if we let him go. He might turn out to be nothing at all (I doubt that) but the potential and the absolute unique talent is a joy to behold.

I think he's gonna be a megastar!! and I am excited everytime he gets the ball! Its madness what he does

Portuguese newspaper A Bola is saying that we're interested in Dyego Sousa, currently in China. Another Mendes' client.

Very emotional post from Daniel Podence on Instagram thanking Olympiakos and their fans, also thanking the President for letting him "fulfil my dream of playing in the Premier League." Never mind his footballing ability, looks like exactly the sort of person Nuno likes to sign

Said it the other day he was showing his character. No stropping when the move dragged on or refusing to do what is expected of him by his club. So many players would have pulled the "heads gone" shit and refused to train etc until it was sorted. Its a small thing but it shows a lot about him.

Just saw it I started following him when it first broke

Could definitely be something in that. Clearly we are after a cheap back up option to come and sit on the bench behind Raul. It seems the talks with Nélson Oliveira have stalled. This guy played in Portugal so will be known to Nuno & he's a Mendes client. At 30 and playing in China, you imagine the fee won't be too high.

Decent finish from him here for Braga last year.

Good to get that over the line- get a back-up striker, and I'd call that a pretty good window.

Apparently Campana's training with the first-team, by the way.
