Israel-Palestine

What do you mean?

The Elbit case currently going through the courts with its shocking body cam footage plastered all over social media takes some very awkward defending and I’m not seeing any of it. Some real insight there into the mindsets and inner workings of the group which should be helpful whichever side you sit on.

I wonder how many of those who so proudly got themselves arrested at protests afterwards would have done so if they knew then what they know now.

I think (well I know) that news gets pushed to whoever the algorithm thinks it will resonate with.

I haven't seen anything about what you are talking about.

This has happened a few times recently where I have been "outraged" about something and my friends have no idea what I'm talking about.

The same happens in reverse too.

It's a really sorry state of affairs that just makes people more and more entrenched and it isnt the fault of the viewer. It's the fault of capitalism that the algorithm pushes news at people purely for engagement/hits and therefore advertising.

We used to watch the news at 6pm or 10pm which was relatively balanced or buy a paper that we knew was left leaning or right.

Now, we just get pushed the news stories the algorithm "thinks' we want to see.

Yes, very fair points. The beeb have covered the basics and published some footage, but as the trial is progressing more footage is being released, and of course certain outlets are not going to sensitively edit the graphic bits the way the Beeb or msn would.

I’m not suggesting they should show it btw, just that the full, unedited bodycam footage from both the police and the security guard would certainly give some on both sides insight into some of the individual mindsets of those involved and in the group itself that was perhaps by some at least, previously misunderstood.

Thx for sharing.

1. ... 'October 7th and the days and weeks that followed'.
2. 'They did not know their history or the context...'.

Hey bright spark Clinton, did the context and history not develop and take place throughout the twentieth century and the first two and a half decades of this century?

Turns out that when you repeatedly chant 'Globalise the Intifada' then some people do just that.

Equally I wonder how Netanyahu has the balls to blame it on recognising the palestinian state.

I also wonder how he feels about the bloke who tackled one gunman and got shot and injured in saving lives. Seems he is Ahmed al Ahmed.

They were members of IS, lets not fool ourselves that this event had anything to do with religion, Israel/Gaza or related things.
That group just want to have control of as many people that they can.
