General Wolves News

LCB - ignore me I was thinking LWB. Still a daft idea if Toti is fit.
Their conversation was based on him not being if he didn't come off the bench on Sunday, so were saying Doherty would be an alternative to Wolfe if we wanted to stay with 3 centre halves who've played their regularly.

I thought Spiers comes across well, although some bias there as he shares a lot of my player opinions based on today. Judah still too sympathetic for my taste. They have a is Rob Edwards the right man to take Wolves forward? pod on Thursday that I wouldn't mind listening to, not enough to invest a fiver though.

Is there a charge for it?

Was surprised with how anti- Edwards the Wolves Fancast was yesterday. In addition, their poll had around 75% wanting him gone. It’s a funny podcast, some genuine morons on there (as in don’t know the names of our players or seemingly watch games) - like you can’t make up how bad it is. Then sometimes seems to genuinely capture fan mood authentically in a way I can empathise with (not often, but).

The Talking Wolves podcast however is a stone cold joke presented by the world’s most gullible Fosun apologist. Hobbs mate. You could fill pages with quotes you couldn’t make up, but it almost feels cruel. Liam Keen not far off this, hilariously making up for it by adopting a more and more serious grown up voice to explain how objective he is.

What seems to unite all of them is how they failed to appreciate Nuno or see how catastrophic an appointment Lage was. Inexplicable. Everything since has been some kind of doubling down on this in the face of the stark reality of the league table.

I will actually give Spiers/Judah a listen when I have the time. As neither of them are dedicated Wolves reporters now they might actually be free to speak their mind a bit more. Whether that's actually a good thing or not remains to be seen.

Nathan Rioja is a Boro fan, I don't need to hear his opinions about Wolves thanks.

There are STILL Lage apologists around, it's absolutely unreal.

Listened to half of it on the way home from work. Enjoyable listen - nice to hear from Spiers again. For all his critics, he’s better than most when it comes to Wolves related content and on the podcast format, you don’t have to put up with his forced Wolves bantz. Judah is still a bit of an annoying tosspot but you can’t have it all!

I’ll listen to the free stuff but won’t be paying a fiver a month for the Thursday stuff, which is a shame, as it sounds like they will be quite interesting. The Tuesday pods will be mainly reviews of the game/s.

It's actually £6 it seems, they shove VAT on it

Just listened to the Judah/Spiers podcast.
Quite liked it, Spiers seems more switched on than Keen and a bit more likeable. Liked that they disagreed quite a lot on certain points, although that may have been Judah playing devils advocate.
A couple of things came up that I either wasn't aware of or missed.
They were talking about Krejci as being our player. Has the loan been turned into permanent?
Also Spiers saying that Joao just didnt bother for the goal on Sunday, personally I just thought it was a mistake or brainfart. He also reckoned Joao just went straight down the tunnel at the end which I missed. He's not started the last few games, 'heads gone?'
Be very disappointed if he's just thrown the towel in. No doubt he's disappointed with the way the seasons gone and maybe not at his best sometimes but I've never thought he hasn't given 100%.

The number of games required has been triggered so it becomes an obligation at the end of the season, our player in all but name.

He looks uninterested in the build up, makes no effort to see where Guessand is or look for any danger, just walks around. He's been on the pitch a couple of minutes, it's crap. LL called him out for the same.

JG one of our most overrated PL players IMO, decent enough and may have flourished more in a better team, but pretty limited once you get past the huff and puff. Been running on fumes from the 'Free JG' campaign and because we've been desperate for heroes for a couple of years

I think both he and Andre have got away with it lightly this season. They've both had decent games, Andre had one on Sunday, but have both been mainly average and often below that. It's just that there have been more obvious candidates to vent at.

Andre and Gomes have been up and down all season but I'd not really seen lack of effort, Gomes especially always seemed to give everything. Disappointed if he has just given up (not seen enough games live to tell).
As for him being overrated, yep absolutely, thats been the same for pretty much every Wolves player since I've been on looking at forums.

The thing is they are still our best two players (maybe Mane aside now of course). Like you say they’ve both had decent games at times. Andre particularly has annoyed me because he’s had 45 minute spells where he’s clearly the best player on the pitch (like Sunday) and somewhere he just downs tools. Joao needed a move just in general last summer but he’s struggled a lot this year.

I think they will both join good teams/clubs and we’ll see they are good players again. I can’t say that for many others in this squads
