General Wolves News

We'll soon see won't we? We should be bringing in players really early in the window if lessons truly have been learned. Like literally over the next few days. We have 0 minutes to fuck about.

Yup, I try not to be too "modern impatient fan" with the January window, but the Brighton deal for Gross was announced within like 2 hours of the normal working day starting so had obviously been tied up well in advance, and you would have hoped Wolves were doing the same as its been clear we needed extra for months. I would have been fighting for at least an ambitious loan for the first day, more to make a statement to other potential signings than anything.

Exactly. Nothing stop them setting deals up anytime. The window just dictates when you can complete the technicalities.

Now let's see us do absolutely fuck all before trying to tie up Cameron Archer on loan at 10:30pm on the 31st.

The problem with loans in January is the team that own the player may want to wait and see what the situation is at the end of the month. They might get injuries and want to keep the player, or feel that keeping them will give them a better chance of finishing where they want to, be that avoiding relegation or getting European football. I suspect that’s why a lot of loans happen in the last few days.

We are saddened by the passing of our former winger Terry Wharton, at the age of 83, after a short illness.

Terry more than 200 appearances for the club and was a key part of our side during the 1960s, including the LA Wolves team who won the United Soccer Association championship in 1967.

Everyone at Wolves sends their condolences to Terry's friends, family and loved ones, and supporters will have the chance to pay their respects during a prematch tribute at Molineux this afternoon.

Sky just showed the league table. We are the only ones to win in the bottom half this weekend

Did it really take replacing Jeff to come up with this, great idea.

If the current 'feel good' carries on, we'll probably take my grandson to this.
He went to the league cup games and enjoyed it, been badgering his dad to go again, we'd penciled in the Shrewsbury game but my lad decided he didnt want to take him due to the potential for a poisenous atmosphere.

Fair play to them. Hopefully this sort of thing continues into the summer and they address the absolute shambles Jeff has made of the ticket prices.
It needs to happen full stop, beyond the summer, beyond next year, into next decade.

We have a seriously old fanbase. I'm 45 soon and I'd still genuinely be towards the younger end of the scale in the North Bank Upper.

Lads on here with young kids have frequently said they can't justify the cost of all going together, especially if you don't live that near Wolverhampton.

Plus who is paying £600+ for Championship football (£600 in itself would be a hefty discount from the ludicrous levels we've managed to set).

I reckon ST need to drop by £200 and offering current ST holders a rebate of £250 if they renew would be cost neutral as I know a fair few people that won’t renew as things stand. It would be one way of acknowledging they’ve had to endure a complete shit show and overpaid for the “privilege“!

By doing something like this they will retain a decent number of ST holders next season, people that won’t otherwise go to most games. We all know that without them crowds will fall significantly as there won’t be a a big queue of people desperate for tickets to a 12:30 Saturday or Friday evening game in the Championship.
