General Wolves News

This all has shades of Comical Ali. It is 100% about trying to create a narrative around himself that "actually, none of this is really that bad - if anything, it brings new opportunities". If his bosses get hoodwinked by that then more fool them. Surely not even the most moronic of our fan base will allow themselves to get gaslighted by this- what they can see each week on the pitch will surely trump this childish propaganda exercise.

I hope all the ancillary and support staff at Wolves are reassured by Jeff's comments and that their jobs are safe when we're relegated.

I mean cost cutting and redundancies don't usually go hand in glove with a sharp drop in revenue do they...🙄
Not just safe, he's incredulous that it's even a question. Even if you believe it from a financial perspective they'll be people in the media team twiddling their thumbs in the Championship versus the PL. I believe he believes it, but again shows his failure to understand the business he runs.

I really would love to know what goes on in Shi's head - if he REALLY thinks that he's doing a good job, if he REALLY thinks we're operating well, if there's REALLY a viable '10 year plan'.

He's essentially the chairman version of Father Dougall Mcguire

Still - I'm pleased he's happier now, even though we're not winning as often. Or at all. But he's happier so yay for Jeff.

They are non execs with absolutely piss all power to do anything
They can resign as similar directors did under Lerner at Villa and say it's because they fundamentally disagree with how the club is run, but it changes nothing.

They're in to pay lip service to corporate governance. Nothing more, and neither draw a salary.

They could speak publicly.

Have they ever done that? I think they've been in those roles for over 2 decades and I don't think I've never known them to express any opinions publicly.
No they haven't, but that's kind of my point.

They could.

These are extreme circumstances, particularly after that interview last night.

Which would achieve what exactly apart from losing their positions?
It would heap more pressure on Fosun/Shi wouldn't it.

And what exactly do they get from their positions? I'm sure it's nice to have, but when they're associated with this shit show, what's the point?
