I stand to be corrected, but I believe he’s only interested in doing up the executive boxes so he can charge sky high premium prices in there. No interest in improving the leg-room or comfort of the average match going fan in the standard seats.I initially thought wow... takes some bottle for Jeff to do this interview then I heard 5 minutes of it & wanted to rip the radio out of my car. What a fucking twat!
In respects to the Steve Bull Stand. Next season would be the perfect time to crack on with it due to the dropped attendances but Jeff is so Delusional that he'd expect a sell out against Hull on a Tuesday night so Fosun wont okay it!
Maybe that guy in the photo could turn out at right wing back?
He did say they need time to adapt and will cling to that. The reality is that the vast majority of recent signings haven’t adapted however long they’ve been here and he should have taken that into account when buying this summer. A few signings of proven PL ability would have made a big difference but Shi always wants a bargain. On top of everything, the performative culpability of coming out and saying they got transfers wrong mid-season is just awful management. Essentially telling a group of new employees they're useless when you know there's nothing you can do about it in the short term. I mean, they are useless, but last thing they need is the club's owners saying it publicly.
Fairly painful listen. there's obviously a need to show some positivity esp in the new team coming in so I can sort of accept that was going to happen, but trying to frame it now as being the best team we've had 5 minutes or so after their arrival is just madness. We know he'd have said the same about anyone else he'd have brought in.
Little to no acknowledgement of the decline, bad transfer activity, desperate managerial appointments over recent seasons that got us to this point other than the ridiculous suggestion it's just unique stuff that happened this year and the spending power of others doing what Fosun did in their early years. I'm not hearing lessons learnt here.
Then we get this nonsense about how them working together and give happiness to each other on a day to day basis is as, if not more important, than results. How even in successful times Jeff wasn't always day to day happy. Top of my list of what I wanted to hear that one is Jeff. Glad for you it's a comfortable working environment.
Wolves well known in China, many people want to talk about us - how is that translating to bringing in commercial revs Jeff? I want to hear about that rather than how it's making your ego feel.
and are we supposed to believe the academy is suddenly going to be the answer? I think we've been here before... what's our usp on that, best coaches? best recruitment, track record, integration to first team ...
Yeah I've seen no comments from fans (however delusional) that state anything other than bile towards him after this on multiple platforms.I despair at some of our fans at the best of times, but I can't imagine that any Wolves fan would listen to that and think "actually, things aren't that bad - he made perfect sense there"
Delusional gaslighting bullshit from start to finish. Would be great if he could take a step back and make decisions which are best for Wolves, not for Jeff Shi.
One of the big things about football that these clowns just don't seem to get, no longer how long they are involved, is that it is all about hope, joy, ambition to be better. Unfortunately they have destroyed all of these emotions and every time they open their mouths they make it worse and we realise that we are just going to be on a continual slide.
Relegation may not mean anything to him or his balance sheet (I beg to differ on the latter) but it does to us. We have been in this league for 8 years now and we want to stay here yet we have seen teams like Bournemouth, Brentford, Forest, etc come up and have a real go of it and leave us way behind. This is completely unacceptable.
The irony wasn't lost on me last night that whilst this rubbish was airing, Forest fans were joyously celebrating a late winner in the Europa (scored by a player they signed for just £16.5m). Shortly afterwards, Villa beat Basel in the Europa whilst Palace fans, a few months after the excitement of winning the FA Cup, were celebrating a 3-0 victory in the Conference League. Unbridled joy. This emotion has long since deserted us, we just see misery and disappointment week after week and have no hope of any improvement in the foreseeable future, just more sadness. 8 months since we actually won a game, 2 months since we even won a point. How can this sad excuse for a man sit there and even attempt to gaslight people into thinking all is well in the Wolves garden?
