Financially, Wolves operates under a model of prudent funding from its owners and is not yet fully self-sustainable - the investment comes when necessary and is based on business rationale.

It means if they identity a player they can flip for a profit down the line, they will make the money available.
 
"business rationale" is a cop out that could mean anything they want to in that minute or wind direction.

I suspect it means there will be funds available for players if we're in the shit. Unfortunately it will too late by then, also they're likely to offer derisory amounts which will be turned down again.
 
It's an insane article. Talking about the science of winning at the same time we have a manager no one wanted, the worst keepers in the Prem and one of who was the worst last year and we still signed, not acting on an aging CB; and basically ignoring all the actual data we had and have seen. Whilst telling fans not to be negative.
 
The e&s owe Shi nothing. They should have refused to print it but offered him an interview with no editorial control. If he refused it, print that. He's so thin skinned it's pathetic, forever wanting credit for 2018-2020, whilst failing to justify or rationalise the here and now without sounding like a tripping Patrick Moore
