If you're offside you're offsideWow VAR was worse back then, checking if managers are offside is taking it too far.
Only works if the line can be synchronised to the SPLIT second the ball is kicked. Otherwise it is open to abuse as the current ststem is.
Nothing to do with cameras this one.Have they updated the cameras to be mm accurate, or is there still the ~30cm margin of error from rate rates?
I prefer Boly's little hand shakeAfobe's reaction is spot on
I'd like Johnny75 to explain why my post amuses him so. The powers that be seem keen to draw lines to the nearest millimetre to rule goals on or offside, but there is no such minute accurate measurement for when the ball is kicked. In fact all the screen focuses on when there is a tight offside decision are the two or more players involved in the back line.Only works if the line can be synchronised to the SPLIT second the ball is kicked. There have been occasions when the defence is back-pedalling and the attacker is heading back onside (and the other way round) when the film clicks on one frame and the result is different. And on those occasions all they focus on are the players on the line and no accurate measurement of when the ball is kicked.

If that's the case, I want to see evidence of them being used. On screen. There are chips in the ball that measure contact to the millisecond.
They probably ran out of them during Covid as they are 5G ones and they were needed for the vaccine. If that's the case, I want to see evidence of them being used. On screen.
No that was proved to an extent, although not really what id class as wide left as in Grealish ish. I want to hear the ping or beep when the ball is kicked at the same time they are drawing the lines. Is this along the lines of you refusing to believe Phil Foden has ever played wide left? What proof are you after?
It doesn't it's subjectiveHow does the semi-auto VAR know if a player is interfering with play or not? Will we still need humans to make that call?
I also read human VAR will be able to over rule the tech.
