General Wolves News

Some sort of witchcraft surely, I was told it was literally impossible.
I'm waiting for Brentford as it ticks a lot of boxes for me to be the next game (being in the country as one of them)

Had a quick gander at the tickets first thing this morning for United as there was an outlying chance I could be back in time but there were only singles left in the family enclosure.

Still gives me some confidence that it may not be as difficult as I had feared, although still annoyed about the late communication of the change.

I would say that this would pretty much be a death knell on the stadium redevelopment, unless we enjoy a considerable turn around in fortunes.

Roughly half of surveyed wolves fans would like to see a change in ownership. I'm a bit surprised by that

As Paddy says all about the timing. For many in July:
Popular manager sacked, but gets better job
Unpopular managerial recruitment strategy
Car crash board interview
Hints of obscene ticket prices
Expectation of sell to buy- Patricio off and Neves expected
Little in the way of incoming transfer activity

Sign a couple of players in the next fortnight and win a couple of games and it'd be back up to 80 odd %. Plus it will have only been a small sample size - less than 1k I'd have thought.

The most successful owners we've had in the last 40-50 or so years.

I'm not quite sure I can understand people's (the surveys) short-term views on this one.

In mid to recent history we haven't been anywhere near the level we are now.

Who are the 5 and a bit % who don't rate Leicesters owners!

Also guessing those in favour of the Newcastle owners are down to various Gmail accounts owned by Mr M Ashley

This season hasn't been great so far from a PR pov, price hike being the most annoying imv, but Fosun have a bit of leeway for a while for me, we'll see what happens next year.
It will be interesting to see what effect the price rises will have on attendances. Me and my boys were discussing which early games to try and get tickets, Brentford and Newcastle will be the first. By about November I'm expecting us to be around mid table, so will see how that affects it.

Leicestershire owners are furriners aye they? Surprised its only 5%

Whilst they're obviously doing a great job at Leicester, their affairs in Thailand are considered by some to be somewhat "shady"...

I'm not saying this is the reason, but dig into their background and it's a lot murkier than you'd realise. Specifically look into King Power.

Does anyone know anyone who voted in theses polls?

I'm guessing it's a tiny percentage of fans that did.

Yeah, those kinds of surveys are hardly peer-reviewed. Very difficult to get a representative sample.

from John Percy's peice on Nuno's time at Wolves today

Youri Tielemans, then at Monaco, was recommended to Nuno by the recruitment team but a potential deal was effectively vetoed. The Belgian midfielder instead joined Leicester for £32million and has since emerged as one of the top flight's most consistently impressive performers.
Hwang Hee-chan, the South Korea international, was frequently scouted while at Red Bull Leipzig and a move was signed off by the board until Nuno apparently called it off.

Actually annoyed we never made a move for Tielemans.

Nah, beats keeper but hits the post and it goes wide
