General Wolves News

Strand Larsens turn to do the media rounds it seems. There was a period last season where we seemed to be playing him whilst he was carrying a knock & we didn't fucking learn from that. We should have been resting him, enabling his recovery (I know who covered for him would have been an issue but again that shows our poor recruitment)

I have a niggling feeling that it's more sulk than fitness tbh, though I've never been especially sold on him as a player
I think this is the reason for the criticism of his performance to be honest rather than his actual output. Against Brighton he had the beating of Dunk and Van Hecke but we really struggle to get it to him in dangerous areas and once we took him off we got completely penned in. For the Arias chance in that game he held it up for an age because we had no one within 25/30 yards of him. Look at his reaction to being taken off and at the end of the game he’s not sulking he’s pissed because he’s being flogged upfront on his own again.

Last Saturday i’m listening to criticism of him and i genuinely don’t get it. Held it up when he had to, knocked it off and linked play which is something he’s improved 10 fold since he arrived as it was really poor for a lad his size. Trouble is he’s now linking play with Munetsi, Rodrigo, Joao/Bellegarde(both bang out of form) and the like rather than Cunha, Sarabia, Rayan and in form Joao and to a point Bellegarde.

Chatting after the game i said our fans really struggle to change any opinions they have of players and that follows any performance that doesn’t end with a win etc… Not just here either i think in general, how many fans were/are convinced Ait-Nouri can’t defend despite him proving he could multiple times when that was all that he was tasked with. This goes on to Larsen, he’s massively improved since he came especially with his hold up and link play and he can still finish, just look at the West Ham game in the cup. Trouble is we’re not creating them chances because the players playing aren’t good enough, are bang out of form or are being mis used by the manager.

We don't create goals. They just happen.

3 assists.
Munetsi,
Wolfe,
Fer Lopez.

Says it all

There is a burning topic I would like answering at some stage. What the hell has happened to Nathan Fraser. I lot of rumours about mental illness and retirement. I would like Wolves to give an update to see how this young lad is. Quite horrible the decline and the lack of anything regarding Nathan.

"When we lost so many players as we did in the summer, it didn't feel right for me" - surprised more has not been made of this quote. That's open insurrection against the ownership and its 'strategy'. He definitely doesn't want to be here, so that's created an attitude problem, and his on-the-pitch output is directly affected by the absence of the creative players that have left the club.

Whatever is going on with him is private to him.

Surely if he wants to buy us he would be better off waiting 6 months when we'll be a lot cheaper. Conversely Fosun should be biting his hand off now.
He's probably better off looking at Sheff Wednesday TBF. Might be up the creek at the moment but they'll be pretty cheap and have potential for a better ROI than us

The rumour I saw at the weekend was that there was a representative of the Walton family at the Wednesday game, (the billionaires that own the Broncos, not the terrible TV show as know what some of you are like!)

The issue with Wednesday is the ground is a state and it's got that Old Trafford issue that its trapped for proper redevelopment by surroundings, you could maybe knock a stand down at a time but thats overly costly and time consuming.

The Athletic article on this says he is also looking at 5 champ teams too
