General Wolves News

That’s a shame to read. Also weird that we want to bolster the squad, we need numbers etc and then a few days after the window closes, we’re negotiating on letting one of our most experienced players leave. Would be absolute peak Wolves to let him go, then 2-3 of our CB’s get injured, but if he doesn’t want to be here, and he’s not part of the managers plans, it is what it is.

Seems strange we didn't at least get him a loan to the Championship at the end of the window after the Leicester thing fell through. There must have been takers.

Never trusted him after the delivery driver story. 😉
In all seriousness for the price we paid for him he was a good signing. I also can’t see why we didn’t release him before the window shut if he was never part of the managers plans. I guess the Nasser deal didn’t conclude in time. Could you have put a release on the deal sheet and kept him if needed?

I love ballon d'awson. He was brilliant for most of his time here, literally kept us up, and I always thought he looked useful in the training ground too.

Absolutely shit of us to basically put him out to pasture for 6 months, he deserves more respect than that.

What are you going to do though, give him token minutes because he was a good signing 2 years ago? He isn't fit for purpose any more, he's gone.

We had a space free in our PL squad at the end of the last window. Added 3 and removed 3 including Sasa so we don't need to just let him go. Does say to me that something has gone on

If that last part about him being good around the training ground is gone now though then what else does he offer?

Sorry, I didn't mean I'd keep him - I'd have loaned him out for pennies so he's out the way and playing football

We'd have been paying for him to play for someone else then. No-one who would want him would pay him anywhere near what he's on here.

It's a shame but on a footballing level he's miles off now and age happens to all of us.

You know what I'd genuinely forgotten that we still had him.
The shocking thing is that I don't think Sam Johnstone is actually any better than him (on performances in a Wolves shirt so far) and he cost us TEN MILLION POUNDS.
