That’s just the way it is for everyone now though right? Even Newcastle and Villa will have to sell players. Leicester probably need to sell their best player in Dewsbury-Hall despite getting promoted.
We’re all assuming at least one of Neto, Hwang, Cunha, Gomes or RAN will go this summer anyway even if PSR wasn’t a thing. We’ll presumably be looking to break even and only spend what we bring in (or just sign Cresswell, Adams and Brownhill on frees)

Whatever thoughts are about last Summer it wasn't a fire sale. We got more for Neves, Collins, Nunes, Raul and Coady than was expected by most and fair value for Sanderson, Sarkic, Kawabe and Giles. That's not a fire sale.
On a related note I was thinking of the old Neves song the other day about having a riot on their hands if they sold him, which I think was the 2019/20 season. Now there's a general acceptance that we have to sell our best players to stand a chance of signing others. That's a great job in mindset shifting Jeff and his friends in the local media have managed there.

We made a profit last season and new financial rules dictate we won't breach any limits this season or next.
It isn't hard to take a look at the numbers and realise we're well within limits and this is just club propaganda.

that was my point - If he, PTS etc start releasing stories of woe, points deductions etc then the club are releasing that shit again.
It would also mean we are facing a similar summer to the last one and would probably see us scrambling around for a new head coach again.

Why is it weird? Should we get rid of Stan Cullis and Billy Wright statues as they are no longer at the club? No harm in remembering great players even if they’ve moved on and Raul and Ruben are two of our best players in the majority of fans lifetime’s.
