General Wolves News

I don't wanna pick a fight with Dan by selecting Ikeme. ;)

In all seriousness...

Sa, Coady, Moutinho, Sako, Jota.

I get the logic with just cheaping out on the keeper. He was awful though, easily the worst regular #1 we've had that's lasted a year plus in my time.

That list being:

Kendall
Stowell
Oakes
Murray
Hennessey
Hahnemann
Ikeme
Ruddy
Patricio
(Sa)

There is a load of shite like Lange, Jones, Lonergan, Hansbury, Segers etc buried there, but they didn't play very much.

As a dedicated #1 he is the worst one and it isn't really very close either. He was shit.

Ikeme was a better keeper than Kendall. Loved Mark, but his personality was bigger than his talent. Have a look at the Grimsby FA Cup goal for evidence

Well trodden ground by now but I absolutely would take Ikeme over Hennessey, not even accounting for how much of a moron Wayne is.

Kemes, Jonny, Mout, Kites, Bully
Well after being told off by Uncle DW, I will bring in Sa as rush goalie, and drop Jonny for Coads. I still want futsal international Maximilian William Kilman in though...

I'll give you a load of Ikeme shockers if you like.

They were both nice people but rubbish keepers.

With respect, you didn't watch both keepers week in week out. Ikeme was better, it wasn't close. If you take don't take context into account then Ikeme was better than Stowell

I did see Kendall week in week out. 1988 onwards, me.

I was 8, I'll have you know.

Watching the 94/95 review last night before the England game, Jones was worse than both.

Paul Jones was awful. He was generally terrible the first time around as well as the second.

It's like Leon Clarke - we can't say we weren't warned from the first spell, so who knows why on earth we brought them back for a second.

I'm sure someone will correct me, but I can't think of a single player (bar Neil Emblen) who we sold and then brought back in (either permanently or on loan) whose second spell wasn't a disaster. Wayne Clarke's one game doesn't count.

Stearman wasn't amazing, but he wasn't a disaster.

I can't really think of too many players who've had two stints at wolves though

Please find some of the videos of him on loan before he became a regular, some classic Keystone cops stuff there

FFS Leon Ckarke. The one game I got to in our record breaking League 1 season was Stevenage away. 0-0. Summed up by a shout I heard from behind me "Leon, why don't you just try jumping for the ball..."

Stowell was on loan then came back 12 months later on a permanent and a success but that's about it I think.
