Fulham (A) 23/11: Build-Up & Match Thread

It can be nothing more than vanity or laziness that he’s still in charge now.
It all boils down to the utter stupidity of offering someone a 4 year deal after just 1 season and on the back of a poor end to that season.
They’ve lost all good opportunities to replace him ie the international breaks and are now in the relentless part of the season.
Sack him after Bournemouth means an interim for at least Everton and possibly West Ham, not ideal.
As some have said he needs either win 3 on the spin, or be at least consistent in a good way ie draw away win at home until xmas.
Lose today and he’s entering December on sub 10 points, no manager should ever survive that, very few clubs stay up with that record.
It’s complete farce when a good chunk of the fanbase have seen what’s coming 2-3 months before the board did.

I really find it helpful to not read anything other than team news from these pressers.

Every word GON says seems to be minutely examined and thrown back at him (quite rightly) - the results and our league position are more than enough evidence, don't add to your frustrations.

It's exhausting supporting a club who are not doing well - don't make it harder on yourselves.
Managers always speak rubbish so I tend to ignore even when we've done well 😂

It's literally just word salad to satisfy a continuous need for "news".

Worst result will be a controversial late defeat similar to last season. It’ll be the most annoying as the tin hat, GON apologists will back him and GON can do his “little wolves” rhetoric

Really take a look on social media and you’ll find plenty of them
My SM use is probably quite restricted compared to many but I'm seeing very little support for him, at best a few think he's been let down but needs results, mostly it's people calling for his head.

So why are you worried about the opinion of clowns?
Please tell me where I said I was worried about their opinion? Annoyed yes as I occasionally have their comments migrate onto Facebook and the buy the crap that the club feeds them.
I save my worries to real things ie family, friends, Bills etc

Why are you “annoyed” by clowns opinions?

If you swim in a cesspit then don’t moan* when you get covered in shit.

*use any synonym you like for this to avoid some more semantic nonsense

Why because the more that think GON is not doing that bad means it’s less likely he’ll be sacked.
It’s annoying nevertheless I’ll still engage in debate with them objectively.
As someone who’s well educated in Mental Health the difference between annoyance and worry are vast and we would deal with both emotions in a very different way so no it’s not semantics.

The opinion of a minute section of the fan base isn’t going to influence anything. The club already know the fans have turned. Not a single barmy army chant for the first time in his tenure even when we were winning/won a game for the first time in 6 months.

It’s just a figure of speech… This part is probably weirder than your “annoyance” tbh so I’ll just leave it here as you’ve clarified my initial thoughts.

You’ll find it’s a bit bigger than minute, after that I’m not really what sure what point you’re trying to make, made my point you see things differently and I think we should leave it there.
