Football Manager

I picked up Davis and Winnall for my second season at Telford too, although mine was still in BS North, Rooney and Metcalf signed as well.

Davis and Rooney are my preferred central midfield pairing and Winnall is scoring for fun but Metcalf is pretty much my weakest outfield player i think.

I find it quite annoying at Telford that i cant recruit any worthwhile staff, anyone thats recommended in my backroom meetings and anyone i find myself that would be useful wants at least double what i can offer them even though they're nobodies with only one useful attribute. At the end of this season i could end up with no backroom staff what so ever as i refuse to extend the contracts of the incompetant schmucks that are there at the moment.

Who is the first Wolves player (Excluding Halford) that you put on the transfer list?

I'm been mischievous and trying to find out who peoples least favourite player is, but didn't realise you can transfer the players that you have out on loan, so totally blown my spying attempt.

Elokobi, Stephen Ward, , Dave Edwards Jody Craddock

Nothing against these lads but they are not good enough for the Premier League on Football Manager. The first three demand decent fees and I get rid of Craddocks wages

I've had two games to date. Dumped the first one after losing 10 on the bounce. In both games Stoke put a bid in for Elokobi, the fans weren't happy when I sold him to one of my rivals. Fickle bastards they were complaining about him not been able to kick a ball last time I was at the Molineux.

Both games I put Jones, Ward and Halford on the transfer list.

Well, we sank like a stone in the second half of the season, finishing 7th, but obviously our play off place was assured. There was only 6 points between top and 8th though!

But....we won the play offs! :disco:

Now, oddly, my news feed says we've won promotion to the K-League. But we're still semi-professional, and lost £170k this season. I'm waiting for the inevitable 'promotion refused' message....

I also had this problem to with the fans however when Stoke released him in the third season and I delivered the Premier League title I felt my decision to sell Big George to Stoke was somewhat vindicated.

We've gone professional, and I've had fixtures. We are K-League!

Probably not for long though. I've just looked at last year's K-League, and the bottom three had wage bills of £30k-£60k. My budget is £12k. My most valuable player is worth £6k; Last year's relegated club's lowest valued player is worth £20k. There are 73 players in the league worth £250k or more. My highest earner is on £500 per week. There are 360 players who earn over £1k per week.

This will be fucking horrible.

Sounds like you have a task on your hands Del.

Will you change jobs if you got offered one by a better placed team in the K-League? Or does the task require you to stay with the same team?

I'd change jobs in a heart beat! I've just revamped my coaching team (i.e. sacked the only coach I was allowed) and now have 6 in my backroom staff. Signing players better than I have, with no money, is proving difficult!

5 games, 2 points. I've not been under 7/1 to win a game. This is shit.

And the memory of your historic play off victory is forgotten! How long before the Yesan fans new high expectations will see them turn on Del Woppio?

26 games into my second season at Telford, 9 points clear at the top of the league, next up is FC United, they currently have 1 win this season, have scored 11 goals whilst shipping 62. Some how they are still the best supported club in the division by an absolute mile.

Actually just went and checked the league stats, turns out my average attendance is only 3 less than FC United now so i guess the soap box united fans have given up on their new team and the people of Telford are uniting behind my title push.

Won't be on my game now until next week, but I leave with my pre season in tatters. My main keeper (Talia) has knacked his hip and is out for who knows how long. My reserve keeper refused to sign a new deal and pissed off, leaving me with 1 keeper who is, how can I put this.........ahh yes - SHIT. I would rather have Brad Jones in goal.

No other keeper will join me, not even Jan Budtz!!

Anyone know of a decent keeper at Conference level that will cost £34.99 and be happy to earn £180 per week.

Oh and Winnall broke his arm after 5 minutes in my first pre-season game v Wolves. Bastards

Winnall is on fire for me, top scorer in the league, highest average rating, most man of the match.

I've got James Gilpin in goal for me, i signed him for nothing at the start of the game and he's done alright in 2 years.

Picking up nicely; after 18 games, we're 12th on 18 points. In 15th, occupying the only relegation place, is Gwangju - whose entire squad is made of loanees, and have 3 points. WTF?!

Is Winnall on there?
