FC Pyunik (H) Buildup Thread

I'd imagine yellow card count doesn't come in until the group stages.
Uefa Rules

Quali Rounds - 3 Yellows = Ban

Starts again in Group Stages and 3 = ban again

Just hoping the temperature in the pub beforehand is bearable this time!

Just going to be gutted to be missing this. Enjoy it boys and girls. I have to try and find a pub in Exmouth with Premier Sports. More chance of winning the lottery I suspect.

I presume if the 3rd booking is picked up in the Final quali game you would still be banned for the opening Group game if you get through

Three games to pick up less than two cards for those three then.

It was bloody terrible. Still, we'll look back on it fondly in Dec/Jan when we're freezing our gnads off.

If that's the case no point risking any of the three with one card

For avoidance of doubt:

Article 48 Yellow and red cards
48.01 As a rule, a player who is sent off the field of play is suspended for the next match
in a UEFA club competition (i.e. UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League or
UEFA Super Cup). In case of serious offences, the UEFA Control, Ethics and
Disciplinary Body is entitled to augment this punishment, including by extending
it to other competitions.
48.02 In case of repeated cautions:
a. before the group stage, a player is suspended for the next competition match
after three cautions in three different matches, as well as after the fifth
caution;
b. from the first match in the group stage, a player is suspended for the next
competition match after three cautions in three different matches, as well as
following any subsequent odd-numbered caution (fifth, seventh, ninth, etc.).
48.03 Single yellow cards and pending suspensions are always carried forward either to
the next stage of the competition or to the UEFA Champions League in the
current season.
48.04 Exceptionally, all yellow cards and pending yellow-card suspensions expire on
completion of the play-offs. They are not carried forward to the group stage. In
addition, all yellow cards expire on completion of the quarter-finals. They are not
carried forward to the semi-finals.

48.05 Cautions and pending yellow-card suspensions from the competition or the UEFA
Champions League expire at the end of the season.

If that's the case no point risking any of the three with one card

Given the exact ruling, no point risking Jota, Mout or Saiss on Thursday as a yellow there and a yellow in Turin would see them out of the 2nd leg vs Torino

Are we thinking a complete rotation or just a few? For me:

Patricio

Vinagre
Vallejo
Coady
Bennett
Traore

MGW
Saiss
Neves

Cutrone
Raul

Be nice to get Jordao, Neto and Kilman on the pitch in the second half, make sure Neves and Raul play 60 minutes max.

Saiss may be rested as on a yellow (though so is Moutinho) - depends which one we can best afford to lose if they pick up a second (answers on a very small postcard for that)

3 yellows for a ban in the Europa

3 yellows for a ban in the Europa

OK - can risk him (though he does pick up a few)

Will be useful to have him available for both next round games (assuming we get through, which we should, & it's against Torino, which again it should be)

Doherty blowing out his arse for the last 30 mins.

Nuno: play another 90

Id take full advantage of being 4-0 up

Ruddy

Traore / Doc if he needs minutes
Vallejo
Coady
Bennett
Vinagre

Saiss
MGW
Jordao

Neto
Cutrone

Strong bench mind

Fully expect a disjointed performance but leaves our first XI absolutely fresh for Man United
