Farage Ltd and Similar Watch

Farage has seen this many times. Get traction with the nutters, but then you need to disavow them to expand beyond your nutter base.

Happened with Ukip, happened with the Brexit party, happening now with Reform.

Looks to me like Musk and his co-investors in X are now making the moves they’d planned all along. Tanking the value of the $44b needed to buy it is probably seen as a price well worth paying for the damage he’s causing his adversaries and the direction he wants things to go.

I sense Farage saw Reform with Musk’s money and influence as a credible opposition long term, but knew TR was too hot to handle. Musk going full TR is going to ring a lot of alarm bells despite the left saying they’ve long since been ringing, and Farage is suddenly torpedoed below the waterline to boot.

Really quite scary though when you think of all people, regimes and power plays at work globally right now and not sure how any of that bodes well for the future.

The problem I have with that theory is that Musk was desperate to pull out of the deal. It ended with a judge forcing him to buy it.

I'm not sure how you square that with it being part of a masterplan.

I think he was forced into it and only later pivoted to trying to leverage it to his advantage.

Few people on twitter reckoning musk has already bought into reform, will be sacking Nigel and bringing in a new leader, a real man of the people, a leader with gravitas, and who is adored by the British people and well respected by world leaders.

People saying 'I reckon' on Twitter are less credible than social media rumours of Hoddle taking over at Newcastle.

I know, same as trust me bro when asked for a source, was just saying a few people are mentioning it.
Couple of other reckoning Elon may have ended Nigel’s career
