Makes me angry every time I think about it. No, Jeff, signing Nuno was you getting lucky. All the evidence points to Nuno being an outlier when it comes to Fosun and Jeff's judgement. Zenga, Lambert, Lage, O'Neil and Pereira on one side of the equation (with the added farce of Lopetegui's exit) and Nuno on the other, yet Jeff thinks Nuno got lucky.

He didn't really play enough to say one way or the other. Looked good for 20 mins at Brentford then we stopped passing to him.

What was clear was that neither O'Neil nor Pereira were sold on him, especially in a struggling team where you're already carrying Cunha who did no defending, and because the clause where we were obliged to buy him for quite a big fee was set at a really low number of games, he got frozen out.
