Ex-Wolf Watch

Didn't Karl basically say most refs are shite and on a powertrip, and that more ex-pros should be recruited to run the game because they "understand it"?

In other news, Keith Curle has turned 59 today. Yes, we're all getting old.

Pretty sure Ally Robertson is the oldest I've ever seen for Wolves. Still going strong at 71.

Emlyn Hughes would be 76, Derek Parkin at 75 the oldest still alive for me I think

Jim McCalliog, 77; Bernard Shaw, 78; Mike Bailey 81 - quite a few of the early-1970s players still around.

Phil Parkes is 76, seems like quite a few of my childhood heroes are still going strong.

Geoff Palmer played in the first game I attended. Regarding Wolves players still with us then John McAlle and John Richards are the oldest that featured in my first game. Alan Ball featured for the opposition so I got to see one of the Boys Of 66 though can remember nothing about the game. Finished 0-0

Dunno if it was the same game but my first game (probably) featured Alan Ball playing for Everton.

This thread has sent me down a rabbit hole, but it looks like there's enough players left from the early 70s to put a half decent first 11 out.

I've seen Tommy Hutchinson play against Wolves for Swansea, he's 76 now.
