Loads of the late 80s/early 90s Turner team faded away really early by today's standards.

Dennison - never played a pro game after he was 33
Mutch - left us when he was 29 and didn't even score 20 goals in league football afterwards
Downing - non-league when he was 32
Robinson - non-league by 33
Streete - essentially retired at 33
Vaughan - despite appearance (see below) was only 31 when he left us and barely kicked a ball after
McLoughlin - out of pro football at the age of 30
Ashley - non-league at 28
Purdie - never any more than non-league after 23
Holmes - retired before he was 30

Always fun if you watch 80s/90s Bullseye on Challenge. One for how hilariously amateurish Jim Bowen is (didn't register at the time) and two for the contestants saying "aye, I'm 31 Jim" and they look easily 20 years older than that.

I always thought Sid Cowans looked ancient playing for us (I was only in my early teens), he was five years younger than I am now. Now not to toot my own horn but I do not look like this.

Speaking of how old the players looked reminds me of the famous picture of Bully and Thommo being unveiled. They looked about 30 but Bully was 21 and Thommo was 18
