Interesting that he acknowledges his own choices were the main reason why his career went the way it did.
However I was equally interested (although not surprised) by his comments and allusions to jones not trusting younger players, and only playing older/experienced players. One thing Jones was terrible at was youth development, which resulted in constantly needing to spend on players with little/no resale value.

He's talking rubbish, Jones had Muscat as pretty much a fixture at RB until he left (after Green moved to Millwall in 2001) and if he was missing then Sean Connelly played there, he didn't put centre halves and midfielders at RB.

Jones played Murray, Lescott and Naylor from pretty young ages though too? Even if he did clearly hate Naylor :D

Even played Proudlock a bit to begin with from what I can remember.

Dave Jones and Naylor was brilliant.

Blamed him for everything and gave him new contracts. T

Jones had some sort of Stockholm Syndrome hold over players. Treated Naylor, Oakes and Cooper like shit and they all went to play for him at Cardiff

Going a bit Steve Bruce early doors and getting jobs at rival clubs.

Less of an issue where Watford are involved. I bet 99% of their fans couldn’t name their last 10 managers, let alone in order. Further if Luton ruled out ex Watford managers it shrinks the pool of available managers considerably.

It won't please their fans though. Luton fans hate for anything Watford is absolutely rabid.

Twitter response to his appointment is mainly positive

John Ruddy has signed up for a further year at Blues. They must be keen on him.

By all accounts he's done fine and we know he's a good influence off the field.

WM commentator says he's played better than Sarkic last year who won their POTS

The jump in quality from Ikeme to Ruddy was about the same as the jump from Ruddy to Rui, we were never going up without addressing the long-standing keeper issue, equally we were never finishing in a European spot with Ruddy as our #1.
