Everton 2nd February

Balls, missed the 2nd as my stream cut out

Was going to say balance of chances we probably just deserve to be edging this

It's been a really enjoyable game. Slightly frustrating from our point of view as a better touch from Jota and a better finish from Donck and we're 3-0 up before they've done anything.

Boly's fault on the goal, way too tight on Tosun and allowed him to turn.

Outstanding work by Doc on the pen and he has been superb throughout. Front two have once more been excellent, so dangerous.

Ours for the taking here. Both CHs on a yellow and an iffy RB at LB for them and we've been easily the better team.

Don't know why the scousers are moaning, the referee has done really well.
Sly fouls, foul throws... only themselves to blame.

Difficult to be accurate when you are not there, but sounding like the Ref has been a very big step above the one in the last game

Strange first half. I think we are deservedly in front & have knocked the ball around nicely at times. Their goal was a cracking finish - but other than that they’ve hardly threatened Patricio at all. We’ve cut through their defence a few times and I’m gutted Donk didn’t stick his (gilt edged) chance away. I do worry about the referee. Their fans are all over him and the ref will be gagging to give them something in the second half.

Jota has been brilliant. And Doc was superb for the pen.

Agree with every bit of that. We look so dangerous going forward, we just need to make sure we are calm and play as we did against West ham.

They are slightly fortunate to have a goal and not be two goals behind. That one bit of play is all they have mustered and it was a thunderbolt.

I suppose they had Walcott's half chance (Rui was out too quick for it to be a serious opportunity though).

Got to be careful with set pieces, Sig is always capable of pulling out a worldie. But we are better than these.

They have a couple of dangerous players and will still be a threat, especially if we concede set piece opportunities. But we look threatening going forward and will create at least one more good opportunity you would hope. I'd like us to establish a bit of control in midfield as at times it's been a bit frantic in there.

Agree with the set piece issue - need to not give them chances in really dangerous areas

saiss on for neves, hopefully nothing serious

Neves off - first half challenge appears to have hit his ankle

Saiss coming on

WTH that looked a huge chance for Raul to drive into the box

Need to up the pace when we attack....the slow laboured approach doesn't work for us.

He took Tosun out a few minutes ago, ref played advantage

everton flopping all around now
