Euro 2016 watch

If Wilshere is fit then he absolutely deserves to be ahead of Henderson who has never had a good game for England. His range is anonymous to shit.

Wilshere is one of very very few English players who could be world class. Delph, henderson, drinkwater and Milner are not even close in ability.

Townsend is ridiculous choice, shouldn't be anywhere near the squad.

Wilshere is never properly fit though. Including him after one and a bit games for Arsenal is a waste of a space. Drinkwater/Henderson is plenty. Then take another CB.

Henderson has played less football than Wilshere since injury?

I'd take Wilshere over Jagielka every single day of the week. We don't need to take a fourth centre back, especially when he's not very good.

Wilshere has something that Henderson/Drinkwater don't have. Real class on the ball and the ability to beat a man in the middle of the park.

The bbc have a neat team picker up, here's my team:

Edit - got Lallana and Sterling the wrong way around

Swap Wilshere and Stones for Drinkwater and Cahill and that's the exact team I picked earlier.

4 1 2 1 2

Hart
Clyne
Stones
Smalling
Rose
Dier
Milner
Wilshere
Alli
Vardy
Kane

This team gives the balance between attack and defence, with the width coming from the full backs and either Milner or Dier dropping in where necessary or Stones moving to right back and Dier to centre half. Stones worries me but I want a centre half that can bring the ball out

I went 4-2-3-1:

Hart

Clyne
Smalling
Stones
Bertrand

Dier
Wilshere

Barkley
Alli
Lallana

Kane

Team subject to injury and fitness that I think will play:
4123

Hart

Clyne
Smalling
Cahill
Rose

Dier

Wilshere
Alli

Rooney
Kane
Lallana

I think Roy knows his team, well at least 10 of them. Last place between Vardy and Sterling I'd say now that Welbeck is crocked.

.........................Hart
Clyne......Smalling......Cahill.........Rose
......................Wilshere
..........Henderson...........Alli
.......................Rooney
...............Kane.............Vardy

Milner cover for Henderson and Dier for Wilshere.
If he goes 433, then Vardy will probably miss out and Sterling in playing wide.

That'll be my side too. That Spurs spine has to play, pointless putting in weaker players against a 3 that has played together with success.

First game starting eleven.

--------------------------------------Hart

------- Walker----------------Smalling------Cahill----------------Bertrand.

---------------------------Dier--------------Drinkwater.

-----------------------------------Wilshere

Ideally, Cahill and Smalling would be my centre half pairing but I agree that Cahill hasn't had the best of seasons. Nor has Stones TBH but I think it'd be more useful to play him as he's going to improve, Cahill's ship has sailed IMO. I don't agree with people saying it's inexperienced - how many games has Smalling played now? Wasn't sure who to pick between Sterling and Lallana but went for Sterling.

Not bad to have the likes of Lallana, Drinkwater, Rooney, Vardy all on the bench. I'd be happy to see any of them in the XI but the one above gives us the most balance IMO.

Looking like Mata and Costa are going to be having a peaceful summer, neither selected in Spain's provisional squad.
