Dropping like a stone. I feel so sorry for the Chesterfield fans. A good bunch and they don't deserve to have their club infected by that poison.
They've lost 8 of their last 13 league games, one win at home since the opening day and have the worst manager in Britain at the helm, so I would say no.
Which is a similar record to ours, is it not?
We should certainly be doing better than that, should Chesterfield?
Yes we should. Won the league two seasons ago. Play offs last season. We were on the crest of a wave with a genuinely good squad. We appointed a cheap option with a history of failure then sold off the silver. Saunders has the biggest budget in our history at his disposal. The league is average at best so we should have pushed on. Play offs at worst. Instead? I'll take staying up now. No plan. No passion. Football isn't fun anymore. Weekends are about family time for me from now.

No
We have lost five, won four, drawn four
Ah, there you are Dean.
Saunders said: "We shouldn't have lost that game. We could have scored three in the first three minutes..." (The Sentinel)
Losing again....
And turned it into a shambles.I really cannot see Chesterfield ending up in a relegation battle. Though if they do, Dean Saunders cannot lay blame elsewhere. He said the problems at Wolves and Crawley was because he came in half way through the season with both clubs already in a bad situation. The same cannot be said about Chesterfield, he took over a club on the up.
