He was superb in the play off 2nd leg too.
The first leg will forever annoy me with our naiveté.

Pretty shite but heading into injury time it's 1-0 to them. Fine, we can deal with that. Oh, 2-0.

Then we're back in it, 2-1! With an away goal as they counted at the time. Even better, we're in a superior position to five minutes ago. We'll definitely have that. Must only be just be about enough time to kick off again, this is done.

3-1.

Oh I know mate.

I watched that game at Molineux on the screens.

Jamie Smith was so, so bloody happy.

Then 2 mins later he had some ginger CB that i can't remember the name of in his face after Freedman scored a likely offside goal.

Halcyon days - you could barely see what was going on the screens or on the ones in the concourses. I'd left by the time Smith scored.

Definitely offside.

Jamie Smith's only ever goal for us.

Gareth Davies was the ginge I think. Also acted the prick when we played Reading away the year after and he'd signed for them, the weirdo.

The only one of those I went to was also Palace, away in the cup in 1995. Sid Cowans scored but I didn't know that until I got back home and checked Teletext. Couldn't see a thing.

I was at the one where Cowans scored too, knew we'd scored but only from the crowd reaction on the audio. The actual visual image was crap and the sun was shining on the screen too I think

Definitely a foul by Sid too :D No idea how the ref let that one go.

Muddier than Weston-super-Mare beach that day too.

Lovely goal though.

We always made Dowie look like prime Van Basten.
Not sure what our "marking" is all about on that goal. Just a clipped ball into the box and he's in loads of space near the penalty spot, what are we playing at?!

Nearly as bad as our back post fiascos this season.

Mad that his goal at Molineux in the replay is probably the least good out of the 4 they scored that night.

Hoping to watch on TV but away at pickleball nationals (great fun if you’ve never heard of it) so depends on how we go there.

If I play anything like we have this year could well be in the pub for the rugby.

Clearly a must win, even though Gaz disagrees, more so with all bottom 6 playing each other this weekend

Looks like we might be missing Hobbs for the next two games.
