Rather than getting bogged down in pointless semantics, the point is that Palace have never achieved in 10+ years in the Premier League what we did in 2018/19 and 2019/20 (or even close) and yet they currently appear to have far more ability to compete in the transfer market than we do, without the benefit of a much bigger ground than us or much larger commercial income, and they haven't sold many players for good money either.

Just historical stuff really with Brentford and Bournemouth, they're tiny clubs in the grand scheme of things. Both don't average 20,000 through the gate even now, both in League Two 15 years ago and both spent virtually all of the 1990s and 2000s in the bottom two tiers.

Wouldn't quite put Palace in that bracket, they were a more successful club than us through the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s (and indeed 2010s until Fosun turned up).

I ain't the one who can get into at that level (although I obviously have form for bristling at the big club/small club discourse), more that Fosun's decision making is becoming increasingly... anxiety-inducing for me, regardless of what other clubs are or aren't doing.

I've tried to be patient and give them until this September before I dive off the bandwagon, but the noise this week has me readying my torches and pitchforks.
