Crystal Palace (H) 11/5: Build-Up & Match Thread

Don’t worry the can has been kicked down the road for another year and another £100m in the bank job done.

At least these latter season results **might** focus the Hobbs and Shi minds a little....

Making the kinds if mistakes we are making after a whole season with Gary is pretty fucking unacceptable tbqh.

Just showing Olise onto his strong side again. Braindead.

Toti with a decent impression of Roger Johnson for their second.

We’re mentally weak & completely spent physically. The squads been flogged and they’ve got nothing left.

I’m sure Jeff & Fosun will enjoy watching us slip below Palace today and a few million more quid disappear all because they neglected the squad in January. Top work all round.

I don't know, is it GON's fault that Lemina feebly gave the ball away? Or that RAN showed him inside, or that Toti didn't engage?

Genuine question, we aren't pro footballers, but we can see they are all individual mistakes rather than something that has come from tactics?

That only carries so far, the dipshit giveaways have largely been a constant this season. Gary has to solve it, that’s his job.

It’s a pattern and a damning one with the simplicity of the mistakes.

They have a loads better manager
Bit early to claim that as he's been there 5 mins and has galvanised them for now. They also have 3 forwards all in good form at the same time and we are limping to a finish.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - The players need the season to end. They look a spent force physically and mentally other than the occasional flash of quality.

There has been a casualness about us for weeks. It was the same v West Ham. In total control and then 7 mins before half time we switched off completely. We haven't switched back on ever since.

His track record suggests he is miles better.

There's only so much a coach can do to improve players, sooner or later they'll hit a limit of what they're capable of.

From what I've seen today there's been a lot more individual errors than systematic failings. Like the one Traore gave away just before the opener, the idea was alright with Lemina making the run past him on a Palace players blind side but Traore fucked the pass up and gave it away with Lemina then the wrong side of the ball. Players have to take responsibility for the execution and that was simple stuff rather than a manager asking for too much.

Similar with the RAN fuck up on the first goal, Wolves have been awful at defending those overlaps for ages but Toti actually covered the run outside well for a change and then RAN goes and fucks it up in a different way by showing Olise inside onto his stronger foot. That's amateur hour stuff from him.

Erm I’d say he’s got far more pedigree 4 years bundesliga experience and a Europa league winner with Frankfurt.
