I could've sworn I saw a news story/press release recently that said petrol price increases had worked through to forecourts & drivers would notice a levelling off. But prices are still increasing at almost 2p a day round here. That'll continue to feed into price increases in any other goods. It feels very much like a relentless tidal wave.

After spending £165 on diesel yesterday I decided to cycle to work today (normally do 3x a week anyway, but going to make that 5), and ended up getting a puncture! So had to buy a new inner tube at lunch…

£1.95 at the big sainsburys. That is a shambles. And the Stourbridge road by the wombourne Island is an absolute joke (cause of my puncture). Ploughed fields are smoother.

I paid £85 p/m at the start of the year. £160 right now. By October it sounds like I'll be paying closer to £250.

If things keep going the way they are with living costs rising constantly and benefits getting cut, there'll soon be riots.

Suspect the quest for net-zero may be underpinning it (which is fair enough if you believe the use of fossil fuels is destroying the planet). Interesting times ahead if the focus is on consumption or rather the reduction in consumption. A future where a few carry on as normal in their private jets while the rest struggle to afford to heat their homes and eat. The infrastructure to provide sustainable energy is not in place and they see 2030 as the goal ? Are they crazy ? How is the electricity generated to store in the batteries for the Tesla's ?

Obvious answer to me is a form of redistribution of wealth (whether it be from individuals or the corporations) and that's just to fund the public sector. The obscenely rich have got richer over the past two years - obvious target. Won't happen. The insane amounts of money that pass from the public purse to corporations like Pfizer sum it all up but the profits of these corps fund the private pension funds? If they target those in the middle and I'm talking households with incomes of say £80-150K a year then this shit show will get worse.

Yeah, people set against each other. That's how it normally works. All credit to the Dutch farmers and the truckers in places like Canada who do it peacefully. If people ignored the selective crap they are fed through the media and stood together the craziness ends. I suspect it is well past that stage.
