How is there such a huge difference in cost

Just rebranded from a Texaco garage so not sure how they have managed to undercut everyone else by so much. I realise they are a distributor as well as a retailer, but that's some margin.
They supply my heating oil. Wish they'd apply the same policy to that!

Only downside to that place though is the pumps are ancient and it takes forever to fill up a tank

Esso in Whitchurch charging not much more as well. So must be some special delivery prices in that area but pop further down the A41 and sell a kidney to get a tank of fuel

Reports out this morning that fuel prices are not falling inline with the costs. This once again highlighted where I live.

Petrol currently at £187.9 and Diesel at £196.9

As posted previously, the place in Whitchurch being the shining light for the area

It's all bollocks mate, the retail price costs are fuck all to do with the oil costs, and everything to do with rampant, unchecked profiteering. They spiked in Feb, and and again in June, but back down below $100 now. It's just robbery, hence the eye watering profits, and governments won't stand up to them because then they'll lose donations/bribes and tax. Meanwhile Joe Public is completely fucked.

I have a friend who owns a convenience store and gas station over here. When costs went up he had to raise his prices asap and was still making next to nothing. As his cost has come down he admits to being slower to lower his retail price for 2 reasons - a) to compensate for making less money when prices were high, and b) nobody else is lowering their selling price very quickly so why should he?

Squeeze took the kids to Harlech last week and paid 164p a litre. Would have loved to get a bit of that price.

Been in France for over a week, most we've paid is equivalent of 1.86, most supermarkets it's between 1.60-1.64. That's 95 octane E5

BoE puts up interest rates and predicts inflation to be 13% by October. Gulp!
They also say this is a long term recession.

"In the shit now? Well I can't help you, I'm on holiday and anyway, it's going to get worse, I'll leave it up to whoever is cleaning up the shitstorm after me".

Useless, heartless fat prick.

Wondering who is funding his holiday too. If it was self funded they'd have been able to say so.

Deliberately allowing it to drift when he should have gone with immediate effect. I fucking despise the cunt.

He's a man who described a £250k/pa job (which he was fucking awful at, and shouldn't have been doing anyway) as "chickenfeed".

I will never understand any normal person who thinks or thought that he could relate to them. He is, and always has been, entirely detached from the real world. The obese stinking cunt.

Selling his house that he's hardly lived in due to being PM for £1.6m which will mean a £400k profit since buying it in 2019. At least it will make those 'hard decisions we will all have to make' easier for him

Cornwall Insight are now forecasting energy bills just below £4.5k next April. Fucking revolting.

Fuck knows why the government doesn't stop this.

Decouple the gas price from OFGEN setting the price would have the cost and put a cap on it of 4% it's within their gift.

Might be due to the current occupant at number 10 saying “ nothing to do with me guv, it’s the next prime ministers problem”

If ever there was an opportunity to divest from fossil fuel & implement massive investment in renewables this is it. The returns would be awesome I am sure!
