Coronavirus

The deadline of end of May to review lifting of restrictions in June has been dropped...

Thought the restrictions review for the 21st June was set for the 14th June? So the data could be looked at and assessed and then give businesses etc 7 days to set up.

Hancock currently waffling away

"There’s now 2,323 confirmed cases of B.1617.2 in the UK. 483 of have been seen in Bolton and Blackburn with Darwen. In Blackburn, hospitalisations are stable with 8 in hospital with COVID. In Bolton it’s 19 - the majority of whom are eligible for a vaccine but haven’t yet had it."

My Da's partner lives in Allan and it's a free for all. She's had both jabs. She's only 43.

Still not able to book my first jab here in my area in sweden and im 46, getting a bit frustrated now..they said before to open phase 4 in may

Is it just poor organization or is it because they're being stupid about the AZ vaccine?

Bit of everything and now J&J can't fulfil the promised amounts for the EU (no threats of court action yet though)

Well had my 2nd jab at 12.20, no sign of any after effects yet........convinced I'm part of some placebo group and they've just bunged water in me.
Leaving for mine in 10 minutes, got to go to Stafford though so i'll probably catch something else whilst there :)

You and me both. I'm feeling quite hard done by, especially after Mrs TH was convinced she was dying after her first, and I'm not even joking. Tried the other arm this time, just in case. (Watch me collapse in a heap in about 5 hours' time.)

More great reporting on the radio this morning:

Top of the hour headline: "TEST EVENTS RETURN POSITIVE RESULTS"
Story: No evidence of any spreading at the events with protocols in place

So, woke up this morning to the news that there are 5 cases of the 'Indian' variant confirmed at our local Comprehensive school. Advice from the local council is for people to get a PCR test if in certain categories. The list is Pupils and staff from the school, including family and bubbles, other schools in the area and all residents of Newport......so everyone basically. The wifes boss said she would like all her staff (wraparound care for local Primary schools) to get tested so me and the missus just got back from being PCRed.
