I know I have advised students who have attended house partys in the past 10-12 months.
I'm equally sure everyone on here obeyed every law in existence when they were 18/19/20.
I was a complete arsehole when I was younger. The me of now would despise me then. Equally, the me of now also acknowledges that I have had to learn some lessons, as well as accept a certain level of shame/embarrassment/regret.

In other news, has hancock gone rogue with a message he hopes schools will reopen by easter? I feel the government have always wanted to reopen them in february. I suspect the scientists disagree with that mind. Is hancock getting in a pre-emptive strike?

Also, am getting annoyed with the headlines of "x" number vaccinated. Part of me thinks we should be clearer that it is really "X have had first dose of vaccine".

think the biggest mistake this govt has made during the pandemic (and there've been a few) is promising things when it became fairly obvious early on that the virus and the responses required changed daily.

Hard to write down a league table of all the errors but I would say right up there is "Christmas will be a lot more normal" as they were literally introducing a lockdown at the start of November.

1) How do you know
2) You have no evidence of what a month-long lockdown actually does yet (not much if it's in winter and you still leave schools open, as it turns out)
3) That's clearly going to cause massive issues if/when you have to u-turn, which they did
4) What a stupid thing to prioritise in the situation

Few weeks back I was looking to see where the vaccination centre would be in Market Drayton and found the Trust dealing with opening places across the County, inc MD and they were looking for people. It was the last day to apply so I chucked an application in. Had a brief interview last Wednesday and have just recieved confirmation I will be part of the team (pending references of course).

Thankfully for everyone all I will be doing is some admin shizzle and looking after people arriving but will be doing my bit to ensure I can go on bastard holiday again.

Have volunteered for the local 'car link' service as a driver so will be delivering people to the centres who can't get there any other way (plus anywhere else they need to get to)
