Coronavirus

So people in Liverpool won't be allowed to go into other people's houses.

There'll be thousands of scousers out of werk!!

Haha I'll probably be doing more lurking but I doubt I'll be posting a higher than normal volume of shite.

Maybe I'll use this time to metamorph into a beautiful and enlightened forum butterfly!

Nah don't do that, just stay safe the pair of you

Johnson going on about the rate going up in the West Midlands. Not here it isn't, you lying hound.

He claims to have spoken to local authorities but as Andy Street (who I have absolutely no love for) said, ALL of them here told him not to do what he's done today.

Also he must have said "alas" 30 times today.

It's not education or pubs, it's education or online education or in some schools no education. You close schools then you increase the gap between those that have and those that don't. I gave my view on universities a week or so ago

If education is the thing causing the spread that would be a less than perfect choice.

I agree, but thems the breaks. No vaccine has been yet tested on kids and it's debatable if they'd even vaccinate the kids anyway.

I don't see how kids can be kept off school indefinitely

I agree Andy. I think we actually have to refine the efforts put into online learning from the late spring rather than keeping schools open.

This is such an almighty mess. Where are any specifics? Are support bubbles effectively abolished now, they seem to be suggesting so?

Still no specifics. I’ve tried to find out local info and you’d think the Wolverhampton Council / Mayor would have tweeted out something. But nope nothing.

The illuminated signs on the Stafford Road still referred to support bubbles. However they may not have got round to updating them

First scientifically confirmed case of a person getting infected for a second time in the States. About three months between the two doses and there were negative tests in that period.

Rather damages the case for herd immunity.

Not really, there are always individuals who, for some reason, don't build immunity to specific infections. That's why vaccinations for everyone are so important so that these people can be protected

And his second time was much more severe...

Fucking Tory voters :icon_rolleyes:

Well, we are a selfish species - no great surprise that Liverpool has had a spike after the celebrations of the title - unfortunately, there are too many people who think others should make the sacrifice - that said, the government is meant to take the lead, but the laughable lack of clarity has given people the latitude to go too loose too quickly.

Trusting the common sense of the British people was always a play to eventually blame them.

They are also preparing the ground to throw local leaders under a bus too. None of this will end up being the fault of the government of course.
