Regardless you need to show a positive feedback to water vapour, the dominant GHG if indeed it should be called that.
There is a 'carbon' cycle which constrains the carbon dioxide introduction by any particular means.
As things stand there is no measured global temperature change for nigh on two decades despite all the claims of the alarmist camp. The is not a geopolitical control knob.

I think I'll keep believing the overwhelming majority of scientists and data that show this to be bollocks.

You didn't answer the question. Where did all the man made CO2 go if the atmospheric increase is natural?

Don't expect a linear expansion just because you know one parameter.

Feedbacks in stable systems are negative, basic control theory.
 
Gentlemen, the subject of this thread is dear to my heart, well i have two kids and worry about them.

I have nowhere near the technical knowledge that you guys have to debate this topic. However do you not yet realise, I open this thread purely to remove it from the top of my choices page. You fucked the thread, and are still busy trying to fuck each other. Might you not be better doing this via PM, and leave us numpties who are just concerned to have a dummies discussion.

Two facts.

Mankind has been pumping huge amounts if co2 into the atmosphere since the industrial revolution.

Since the industrial revolution we have seen a significant increase in atmospheric CO2.

Are you *really* claiming that these two facts are unrelated?

Because if so, where did all the man made co2 go, and where did a similar amount of natural co2 suddenly appear from?

None of those assertions stands up to scrutiny if you realise that the data is manipulated and the 97% consensus nonsense is just nonsense.

Nothing pseudo scientific about it. I just question the convenient excuse that an accumulation of a trace molecule, essential for life, is a convenient vehicle for all manner of political mandate. The scare tactic you supply fails to acknowledge the insignificance of carbon dioxide in the whole earth system.
Carbon dioxide concentrations vary over seasonal timescales quite naturally as well as on longer terms.
We are likely at the cusp of a natural progression from the 'Little Ice Age', I doubt it is easy to apportion blame.
 
Let's stick to the facts. Is atmospheric co2 increasing, and is mankind to blame?

I conceed that carbon dioxide concentration is increasing, most likely due to anthropgenic activity. However by value I do not see it as significant and consequential. I have merely pointed out that the alarmism perpetuated by a significant proportion of the media and political movements is grossly unfounded.

Pav I agree this thread is terrible, but as awful and as boring as it is everyone has a duty to confront idiots like HGW. When he's long gone it will be our children reaping the results of narrow minded bigoted engineers such as him.
 
I don't think anyone is forcing Pav or PPB to read this, so I don't understand their problem.

Little'un, of course no one forces us to read it, but I read it in the hope of trying to understand it a little bit better, but all it does is confuse me even more.
