Climate Change Debate

How can there have been an ozone hole when the climate is so complex. As an experienced electronics engineer I know that its bunk.

It's probably a cyclical naturally occurring hole. The atmosphere surely couldn't be affected in that short space of time.

James Delingpole says it rubbish, and thats good enough to confirm my preconceptions.

I've answered both questions many times on this thread.

There is an ongoing theme in my postings that point at a myriad of climate influences and the undetermined sensitivity to carbon dioxide.
Perhaps you should pay a visit to http://www.judithcurry.com , a respected academic in the field.

NB I intended to quote Vis and can't be arsed changing the qoute on my phone.

There definitely is an ongoing theme to your postings, but I'm not sure it's related to CO2.

I got as far as the first point, which isnt true at all. Didnt seem much point going on after that.

The IPCC and all the relevent supporting agencies support that point as I pointed out a page or two ago and earlier. Maybe you find a few hundreths of a Celcius statistically significant, most rational people don't.

No they don't. One component of warming has paused. The rest have not. Ignorance of this fact shows you to be a dogmatist, more interested in defending your position than educating yourself.

Pot kettle unless you can illustrate the 'rest'.

Well, you claim the ipcc support you. They dont:

https://www.ipcc.ch/publications_and_data/ar4/wg1/en/ch5s5-2-2.html

We assess the heat content change from both of the long time series (0 to 700 m layer and the 1961 to 2003 period) to be 8.11 ± 0.74 × 1022J, corresponding to an average warming of 0.1°C or 0.14 ± 0.04 W m–2, and conclude that the available heat content estimates from 1961 to 2003 show a significant increasing trend in ocean heat content.

Ooh look, efficiency - something we can all spaff over! http://www.theguardian.com/environm...orlds-most-efficient-solar-electricity-system

"Independent tests by IT Power in the UK confirm that a single Ripasso dish can generate 75 to 85 megawatt hours of electricity a year - enough to power 24 typical UK homes. To make the same amount of electricity by burning coal would mean releasing roughly 81 metric tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere. Paul Gauche, director of the Solar Thermal Energy Research Group at the University of Stellenbosch has visited the test site many times. “The technology looks good to me. I’ve seen it working and I believe it meets the efficiency goals. The technology is proven with years of performance in the navy.”

El Nino forming again...
Summer wash out? Or extremely harsh winter?
