Pitch is looking Horrid for tonight. There’s an inspection at 5.30.

If the picture I've just seen is from today I'll be very surprised if the game is played today.

The picture doing the rounds is off the playing surface. The pitch itself is still covered

As TT said, it's the surround of the pitch. The playing surface is covered

That’s just the surface water they’ve pushed off the covers. It’s not going to be good (it wouldn’t be in august either), but it will be playable.

They’ve got the heaters and the covers which is probably more than what it has on a normal week. Think the FA have helped them out to make sure the game gets played

Pic? Or did you just pop by?
Wish I could just pop by... sarcastic sod. The rain has been really bad in parts of Chorley with the Southport Road partially collapsing after flooding engulfed it the other day.

It's going to be a huge banana skin, let's face it. They're going to be up for the battle and the pitch conditions do not play to our strengths at all.

fuckin hell, that's horrible even by shitty sunday league standards.

this isn't going to be pretty

Perhaps quoted out of context, but Nuno going on about being worried about injuries on that pitch isn't exactly a positive mindset. Out of context or not it's been picked up by them.

though imagine how long a slide tackle you could do on a pitch in those conditions. who wouldn't want to try one? maybe wouldn't be that effective given the surface water. anyway, i'm sure the refs will make sure the pitch will be playable and won't be twats like they never are

Any concerns that way about the state of the pitch?
I will be honest , the pitch is going to be a total leveller ,but luckily they kept the tent from the Derby County game. It will go ahead.

No VAR.
Muddy pitch
Old (as it gets) ground.

Back to the Fa Cup as it should be
