Yeah I agree especially here. Moutinho really should have been putting that in the top right corner, wall didn’t have the post covered and keeper was never getting there.

It happens in the cup sometimes, you get dragged down to their level. Need to be braver and more incisive. Too much safe passing back and forth between Coady, Boly, Donk and Hoever. All defensive rather than creative or expansive players

It’s no different to how we’ve played 5-3-2 forever. Nothing to do with the pitch. The middle of the attacking third is just a void and we do the u shape routine just passing round in a circle. This is nothing new
