The whole new manager bounce is a bit of a joke when he’s already been sacked for failing with the majority of the same set of players.

And I don’t think Felix, Mudryk and Enzo are going to go up several levels because Lampards in the building.

I bet Sky are gutted they can’t move the game to Super Sunday given their love in with Lampard.

Someone already made the point that it seems to be an appointment made less about any form of team management and simply to keep the fans happy. That, for me, says it all about Chelsea fans and reaffirms my faith in their lack of humanity. “Frank Lampard. Yes, I like him. He’s good. I’m happy now”.

Was the press conference today? If so does anyone have any info on what was said?

Nothing on Liam's Twitter so I guess it's tomorrow.

Oh here we go. The BBC have stopped spaffing over Frank for five minutes...

Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui told the media at his pre-Chelsea news conference that the club will be challenging Daniel Podence’s charge for allegedly spitting at Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson: “Daniel Podence never spat at anyone, 100%. The club is working on it, yes.”

He's done his press conference already. Hwang is available. Neves/Jonny suspended. Podence available as it stands. We plan to appeal any ban for him. No other changes on injury statuses of other players.

Daz Hale has tweeted saying Lop has said they appealing the charge against Podence and Hwang is fit. SO its either happened and Liam is away with PTS or Daz has been on the phone with the bossman

Where did you get this from Jinky? Like @Deutsch Wolf I tend to look at Liam Keen's twitter if not him then Judah.

Bloody hell Liam. There's me bigging you up as someone who at least just gets the news out there accurately. Never again.

Although he does say Toti should stay in, and given it's Passive Max he's apparently in a straight fight with, I agree.

In his limited chances, Gomes has often impressed. When he has made mistakes, it has come down to his attributes.

Incredible insight.

But only because of his physical and mental abilities

If Podence genuinely is innocent then this episode is actually making me feel a bit sorry for him. Must be pretty rough

After wishing he had a 6 game ban after Leeds, maybe I’m starting to not detest him again…

Difference between Podence the Player and Podence the Man innit

I rip him here but out on the street, he’s just a dude. (Probably) feels ~emotions~ same as the rest of us. Probably.

A Neves less Wolves on Saturday at a vital time of our season . Very interesting to see how we cope with that .

Who will take on the his role one wonders or will JL just change the whole thing up ?

I've a concern that JL will just just become even more cautious and get players to sit deep to compensate , thereby limiting even further our forward options .
