Chelsea (A) - Verdict (by Treddman)

Away games v the top 6 this season we have got a draw at MU/Chelsea & Arsenal plus a win at Spurs (OK got dicked at MC, but had to play with 10 for most of that match)

Suspect that Pool really don't want us as the last opponents this year when they may still need a win to get to the title

Excellent performance, the shape was fantastic. Gutted to concede so late, but can’t complain.

MOTM Moutinho for me, but Boly, Donk, Neves and saiss were superb too.

The wolves fans were grade A, singing all day, very loud, it sounded like a home game tbh...

Very impressed with Saiss, excellent performance and stays there for the foreseeable for me.

He coped well given that he had Hazard up against him for a lot of the match - certainly no more suspect defensively than Bennett would have been & gives us a bit more forward passing than the other.

Lost Hazard for the equaliser, but wasn't just down to him to prevent that.

Hard to blame him for losing Hazard for the equaliser as it wasn't his job to get out to him.

Thought Saiss had a great game, my motm 2 games running.

On the goal, I felt Traore was slow to get out and close down but its a top finish from Chelsea's best player. Who was superb despite having noone to support him today.

Atmosphere was brilliant in the away end

Sarri is a tit. We were not organised apparently. Stick to munching fag ends and having no authority over your team.

Although the game wasn't a sizzler I really enjoyed it, superb defensive display from everyone and a trademark on the break goal which was lovely to watch, despite us only having 2 shots on goal don't think it was your traditional backs to the wall little team against big team performance, we managed to nick the ball 4 or 5 times in good areas but couldn't quite find the killer pass. Obviously gutted to concede so late but it was a quality goal from one of the worlds best players, nobody really at fault imo unless you're being really picky. 4 points and 2 good performances against Chelsea....yes please

Just the four points off them this year, then. Let's face it, though, they're no Huddersfield, are they? Good job well done, that. Raul was the star for me, esp first half.

Did he really say that, jeez, I thought it was one of the most organized displays I've seen in many a year.....suppose he's the expert though.

Not organised as we defended low. Dont need to be organised when you do that

Excellent display. Deserved our point. Sad about not quite holding out for the three. Good day at the office though.

Absolutely gutted. Thought we played brilliantly and deserved the 3 points, just undone by a bit of class at the end ffs

Great day out though, much better than our last visit there... perspective!

Thought we were riding our luck ever so slightly after we scored; they turned it up at that point and really had us under pressure. For the most part we defended excellently, though.

Neves for me still needs to do more. He had a couple of brilliant moments today but for a man we'd want £60m+ for, I'd really like to see him do more to influence our possession.

Small gripes overall. We were brilliant defensively and Hazard's goal was well worthy of taking points in any match. Sometimes you just hold your hands up.

Riding our luck indicates we were getting battered and they missed chance after chance. Before the goal Rui had 3 routine saves and they had a ball from a corner that missed everyone. That indicates we created our own luck and simply stuck to a plan. We were sloppy at times in possession but you also have to look at Neves in a different way today. His main role was to protect the back 5 and he did that superbly.

No complaints at the result fair if you ask me just gutted conceding so late. Thought Donk was superb today covered so much ground and helped break up a lot of what Chelsea were trying.

They weren't missing chance after chance but they had the ball in pretty dangerous areas for a large part of the last 20 minutes, IMO.

On Neves, I disagree that he should be viewed differently today. Yes, he shielded the defense well. But he was also clearly the outlet through which our counters were meant to start and too often the passes weren't on the mark. Not an easy job, to be sure, but IMO he should be doing better. That's all.

Neves was fantastic Alan.

yeah he was great today. maybe we'd have been closer to hazard had we been better set and with a second nearer to the edge.

thought chelsea did annoyingly well coping with our front two up until the goal and after it just didn't quite go our way on the break.

always a chance hazard will come up with something.
