Chelsea 3 Wolves 0 Verdict

Only half watched this one as got the game time wrong and double booked myself, but looks like that probably did me a favour. I suspected I hadn't caught any of our chances because there weren't any and the stats seem to agree.

We're not getting out of this hole and I have no idea what Edwards thinks he's doing coming here just to damage his career a bit.

Fosun Out.

I suspect Edwards is going to be paid extremely well in the hope he deflects some of the criticism away from Shi. It won’t work with the majority of fans and Edwards will be gone this time next year as we head for the third double drop since the 1980s.

Strictly was not bad and the Ballycastle very good, so feel I made the right call not wasting any more of my life watching this particular set of losers, especially when performances and results are so predictable and quality/effort is practically absent. It'd just be masochistic and I'm not doing it.

Edwards will fit right in with this pitiful set of players and the 'higher-ups' in charge 😅 of the club ; nowhere near good enough for this level

We still get those laughable decisions almost every game or two, but they don't really make that much difference anymore as we've already sunk the club from the inside

Squad is just shit, not fixable without a lot of new players. Quite apathetic about this one, a lot of those blokes are so bad and have no business being in this division. I feel sorry for some of them as they're so out of place, abysmal recruitment has finally bit us on the arse. I thought worrying about Derby's record was over-the-top pant-wetting from JD originally but yeah, we are at pretty serious risk of doing worse now.
I actually never said we’d beat Derby record just that we’d get less than 20 points. That’s an almost certainty now.

I think if there was an option to default on the season I would take it tbh. I still can’t believe how woefully short of the required standard we are, not as a promoted team, but an established one. A team with two 7th placed finishes as the base to build from.

We all knew we would end up relegated at some point, even when we were really fucking good, but not like this.

Shi out.

With the gallows humour of our fans, I wouldn’t be surprised if we sang “you’re getting sacked in the morning” when Palace go 1-0 up against us.

Which is what makes it an even bigger disgrace, very similar to the situation Villa allowed to occur until they were bombed out the league embarrassingly in 2016.
Derby and Southampton were newly promoted and woefully underprepared.

I feel sorry for Edwards coming in and for the Palace game, because Molineux really really needs to be a cauldron of hate towards Fosun for 90 minutes and game in game out after that. Wolves fans have been very quiet about this and this needs to change.

Fosun probably don’t realise how much lasting damage they are causing the club.
They probably think if we go down just press the reset button and start again.
The ticketing policy has pushed away a large amounts of fans, reversing the defeat attitude around the club is a huge task for anyone.
If we go down Derby style you aren’t reversing that quickly.
End of 12/13 season was a low point but the then people in charge realised they’d ended up there by making stupid left field appointments or no due diligence taken.
They put KJ who was safe hands to get us back to the start line, he also bought in players he knew would be good enough to get us out the league comfortably.
I’m afraid this ownership are the most football clueless bunch about and will keep making stupid decision.
Giving VP a man who barely lasts 12 months at any club keys to the transfer cupboard with his mate was daft not to mention a new contract.
I don’t trust them to run a raffle without fucking it up.

Not much else to say really. I still hope Agbadou, FerLo and Wolfe might be ok. The rest I could not care less - they are landfill footballers.
I would also include Arias in the hope category. He was a star at the CWC.

I feel sorry for Edwards

Can't say I do. I suspect he's coming in as another over-promoted British Jeff patsy like Sellars, Hobbs and O'Neil.

Be very surprised if he susses out what shite we have in the squad and his team-sheets and results look much different from Collins' last night.

Still, as long as he gets his 'dream job' and a pay rise, that's all that counts, and fuck us Wolves fans who would actually like a PL manager

I just don’t see what he’s got that makes him stand apart from a bog standard Championship player. Not quick, not particularly skillful, no evidence of great vision or incisive passing. He’s just there, doesn’t stand out for the wrong reasons like Hwang who can’t control a ball but no evidence yet he’s a pL standard player and currently he definitely fits into the group where he’s now worth less than half what we paid for him.

I thought Collins could have been a bit more adventurous with the team selection, I didn`t expect anything different, tactic wise. None of these players will be playing in the Premiership next season. Kreiji and our Brazilian lads will be off playing in foreign climes. JSL needs resting, not fit and he looks to be in a bad place, psychologically atm.

Neither do I. If he`s coming in, he knows what he`s letting himself in for.
