Championship 15/16

They are VERY lucky not to be getting at least a massive fine. That is failing to fulfill a fixture.

There is no excuse...They should be docked points and told to get it sorted! ;)

Had Birmingham blew up and moaned about it and refused to have the match rescheduled, Brentford would then either have to choose whether to play on the pitch or choose not to go ahead with the match therefore failing to fulfil a fixture, they then would be facing (at least) a fine.

There should still be a punishment, just because Blues have accommodated Brentford's wishes shouldn't let them off the hook. What's to stop two teams both in the midst of poor form/an injury crisis agreeing to move a game back?

I'd assume they swung the idea by the Football League first or they wouldn't have done it.

I believe that the Football League gave Brentford permission to move the game, but only if Birmingham City agreed with the postponement, which they did. So I doubt very much if there will be any punishment.

You'd be pretty pissed off if you'd arranged travel and days off etc. Really poor from Brentford.

Have a feeling that all is not to well down there at the moment, can't see them getting close to what they achieved last season.

They've lost Bjelland for the season as a result of the pitch.

Gayle not wanting to go to Bristol?

Crystal Palace forward Dwight Gayle has until the end of the week to decide whether he wants to join Bristol City, says Robins manager Steve Cotterill.

City have had an undisclosed bid accepted for the 24-year-old striker.

Cotterill said talks have been held with his advisors but he has yet to meet Gayle, who is also attracting the interest of several other clubs.

"We won't stay on it forever," he told BBC Bristol. "It's getting to a crunch time this week with that one."

I can understand why he's reticent, I mean he's proven himself to a degree in the Premier League (12 goals despite only ever starting 19 games is decent whichever way you cut it) so why would you want to move to a club that as it stands, have very little chance of going up from the Championship any time soon.

I could see Dwight Gayle doing a good job at various Premier league clubs in a similar way to Shane Long at Southampton.

If I was him I'd be content to sit on the bench for another few months and see how things start to shake out - chances are a team near the top of the table, or elsewhere in the PL, might need another striker and he'd be an obvious option.

Rouwen Henning to Burnley. Don't know a fucking thing about him. Striker. Austrian or Swiss or something.

Right back Maxime Colin to Brentford for just over 1m.

He was at St Pauli for a while, I do not remember him fondly put it that way.
